The “About FtB” link at the top left corner of every FtB page now actually says something about Freethoughtblogs, and also includes the instructions for how to apply for a blog here, so you don’t have to remember where my post about that is.
I can tell this may be my weekend for fussing with administrative stuff, in addition to the usual grading and prep work for classes.
On safari on an iPad mini, I get a blank tab with about:blank in the title. On Firefox or Chrome on Win7, the formatting of the sections is screwed up until the browser is very wide.
Looks very nice to me. (Firefox 40, Win 8).
It’s not optimized for portable devices at all, yet. That’s one of those administrative things I have to do this weekend.
Responsive sites can be a real bugger to set up. However hard you work, the bloggers and the commentators will always find a way to break it…
“I can tell this may be my weekend for fussing with (administrative stuff) evil overlording , in addition to the usual grading and prep work for classes.”
FTFY :)
The “About FtB” link still goes to a page named http://freethoughtblogs.com/advertise-on-freethoughtblogs/ – but I can’t see a word about advertising there.
Because we remapped an old page to this new function. I’d have to get in and edit templates, which I can’t do right now, in order to change some of this stuff.
Apologies for the potential derail.
Can anyone confirm that NECSS sent a letter to RD on February 5th, apologizing for dis-inviting him, and then re-inviting him?
RD makes this claim on his recorded message released today. It’s at the 6 minute 5 second mark.
Speaking of administrative stuff, the ads have gotten worse, at least on mobile. Now roughly half the time I open a ftb link, while the new page is loading I get a full screen ad that, if you click anywhere (including the close button) it will open a new window, redirect you to the App Store, and send you back to the previous ftb page you were on. It’s really fucking obnoxious.
