I vote for Dustin, the current popular boy in the class. For consistent wit, logic and all round grammatical correctness (plus Mr Shrek sometimes makes him sick which means we have something in common).
I’d like to nominate Ken Cope. He’s got an interesting background and always has something interesting to say. We’ve crossed swords in the past and I’ve found myself nodding in agreement even when the zingers were at my expense. Whenever I see one of his posts I always read it, no matter what the topic, and I’m never disappointed.
Bride of Shrek. Funny, lucid, clever posts!
Maxi, a person after my own heart as I have thought her worthy of one for quite some time. For Bride Of Shrek’s posts invariably leave me with either a silly grin, an out and out belly laugh or a nod to her perspicacity. As you say, funny, lucid and clever posts, awesome lady and I envy Shrek :)

They have no rest mass… but then they’re not at rest, are they? They move, they’re energy, and there’s some sort of equation (it’ll come to mind presently) with energy on one side and mass on the other, and, oh yes, I think the velocity of photons even comes into it. Something like “m = E/c^2”? Which suggests that, unless E=0, m may be very small but not 0.

There are quite a few commenters who’ve really come into their own this month.
But Dustin’s been long deserving, and he gets my vote this month too.
The Molly thread is really slow. Why is that? Perhaps commenters aren’t that inclined to pat each other on the back. Or, more likely (I think), most people skim through comments, laughing or snorting or groaning, without paying much attention to whose bons mots they are perusing. Well, it’s a busy life and not everyone has time to stop and smell the bylines.
I’m sure PZ thought the Squidmas reference would pack the people in, but maybe next time something like “Sex! Lies! Mollies!” would bring more marks into the tent.
Oh, and despite some other worthwhile suggestions in this thread, I’m hanging in there for Dustin.

That, as I recall, was in reply to my proposal regarding where mass comes from. A bit of mental wandering on my part it’s true, but it sounds cool. :)
Of course, if they discover the Higgs Boson at the Large Hadron Collider my idea is pretty much toast.
