We always see that women worry about combining marriage, children, and a career. Do the members of the ‘lost generation’ ever ask: ‘why don’t men worry about combining marriage, children, and a career?’ Or do they believe household chores and child care are a woman thing, not a man thing?

The Comet deserves a better name than Comet C/2011 L4 or Comet PanSTARRS. The Pan-STARRS telescope was used to discover the Comet, so the scientists named the Comet Comet PanSTARRS. I would like to call it Comet Millennia. This Comet took millions of years to come from the Oort cloud.
Early birds had four wings. They had wings on their legs more than 100 million years ago.
First, paleontologists spread the word that modern birds are actually living dinosaurs. Then came the news from China that some dinosaurs and related reptiles long ago seemed to be marvelous four-winged creatures, seemingly on standby at some runway for takeoff in flight as early birds.
Birds evolved from feathered dinosaurs. They gradually lost feathers on their feet and then their legs, and today, modern birds have wings on their arms only. Will it be possible for any living beings to fly without wings in some millions of years? Sometimes I fly in my dreams. I imagine my arms as wings.

Femen activists are definitely fighting for the right cause. Femen should not be limited to Europe only. Women in Asia, Africa, and America should join Femen and protest against every bad things.

Ganesh Pyne died yesterday. He was one of my favourite artists. Some say his art was dark. Some say he was influenced by Rembrandt, Ingmar Bergman. I do not think his paintings are dark or he was influenced by other artists. I think nature, life, death, reality, imagination encouraged him to create. He painted what he saw, what he touched and what he felt. I could have met him when I was living in Kolkata. But I never feel the urge to meet great writers or artists whose work I love very much. And it never comes to my mind that they will die someday. As if they will live forever. It is true that they die. but their arts survive much longer. [Read more…]

Richard Dawkins wrote about sexual apartheid in UCL.
When he got to the meeting he discovered that actually the seating in the auditorium was indeed segregated by sex. There was a men’s section, a women’s section, and a “couples” section. Did the “couples” have to produce a marriage certificate, one can’t help wondering? And, while wondering such things, what would have been the reaction of the audience if they had been segregated, as in apartheid South Africa, into a black section, a white section and a “coloureds” section?
It was actually like Saudi Arabia, the audience was segregated into a men section and a women section. Lawrence Krauss took a good decision to leave. He should have refused to return to that auditorium of gender segregation.
University College, London is celebrated as an early haven of enlightened free thinking, the first university college in England to have a secular foundation, and the first to admit men and women on equal terms.
It is so sad to see that Islamization is not limited to Muslim majority countries, or Islamic republics –the vultures are spreading wings–Western secular countries are now targets. But not in the allies, or mosques, or Muslim neighbourhood, it is in the places of enlightenment, the places that educate students about the equal rights of women, and encourage them to fight against misogyny, sexual apartheid or gender segregation.

Isn’t it really about time we decent, nice, liberal people stopped being so pusillanimously terrified of being thought “Islamophobic” and stood up for decent, nice, liberal values?
Yes, it is time to revolt or it will be too late. We decent, nice, liberal people do not want to see that UK is having sharia laws, girls get whipped in public for wearing trousers, people get beheaded in car park, women get stoned to death in the middle of the Hyde Park.
