I was surprised too but discovered that Polaroid still makes cameras. I don’t know how they got it to spit out a photo that had been taken earlier.

One method would be to re-load the film pack with exposed film.

What’s even more remarkable is when they pull this stunt and the subject doesn’t notice. See here.

The video is mildly humorous, but what’s really hilarious is the ad that comes up:
