The most beautiful plant I ever saw was a carefully nurtured cannabis hidden away in a field behind the nursery where I worked — it had received the full benefit of every nutrient and the best soil and the most loving attention. It was ten feet tall, gloriously leafy, and green as emeralds. It was an object of awe and beauty. I don’t think my co-workers even wanted to harvest it, it was so spectacular.

And then the owner discovered it and butchered it with a machete.

Well, we Have to Protect the Children. We can always replace it with a nice oleander or castor bean plant.

I’m always suprised at how much care people take when growing cannabis. One of our botanists was amazed at the level of detail a local marijuana grower had put into his crop (Yay Washington state!) It gets interesting when the Ph.D is taking notes from a guy who never completed his undergrad.

It’s important to get a high quality crop. You can’t just sell second rate product and expect people to buy it.

That’s like hash oil before it’s hash oil right there.

    or so I’m told

Wow, even as a Canadian with access to world-renowned awesome shit (I have chronic-pain-related chronic nausea, which I treat, well, chronically, if you will), that is some fearsomely good-looking stuff. Gorgeous.

    Gorgeous macro shot.

The source article has several more, and some photos of the various end products.

I have access to a time machine….it is not to late to save this plant!

Re growing cannabis – it is a very strong plant and it doesnt need a lot of care and attention. It grows wild on the north yorkshire mores – probably left over from when it was grown for hemp. If you were to look at a plant to grow for seed oil without prejudice it would come top of your list – unless you were Monsanto as it needs no weedkillers and practically no pest control – only hippies seem to attack it.
Varieties have been developed with low cannabinoids – and guess what – they are not as vigorous, productive or pest resistant as the ‘natural’ varieties.

The modern for smoking varieties are prime examples of what prohibition does – we had awful poisoned whiskey in the 1920′s and now modern cannabis is so strong as to be almost unusable socially and seems to cause much more lung damage.

    Citation so very much needed.

Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.

It is if you want to get sociable with pople who aren’t actually there.

    Really?

Then tell me how it is that “modern cannabis” is used socially — and quite easily — by a large number of people?

Bullshit. Cannabis grown for fiber and/or oil has always been low in cannabinoids. There’s still plenty of volunteer ditchweed to be found in the USA too but it ain’t worth smoking.

PRISM is no doubt paying special attention to all the traffic on this thread!

    @15: Umm…

@20: Put this anecdotal evidence in your pipe and smoke it? :-D

    I’ve always preferred edibles anyway.
