Another phase of my big project this year has launched: we’re now accepting student applications for our HHMI summer research program. Most of you won’t care yet; this program is only available to UMM students. But you’ll care in a few years when our squads of adequately trained scientists erupt from Morris, Minnesota.

If you have posters, you can always hang a couple in the library or leave them near some of the study areas.

I expect we’ll care even more if they’re leading packs of ravening cephalopods.

I always wondered how super-villains replenish their supplies of henchpersons. What with so many of ‘em getting pushed out of aircraft, blown up, and spearfished by International Men of Mystery, the turnover rate must be horrendous.
