I forgot to mention that I’m in California. Monterey Peninsula. I got here Saturday.
I thought I was going to take Cooper out for a walk along the coast at Asilomar at about ten this morning, but here I still am. Ok after lunch then.

Ath-bhliain faoi shéan agus faoi shona duit. [A prosperous and happy New Year to you.] It’ll soon be 2013 here in Ireland, so I want to wish you all the best for the new year. I hope you enjoy the wee holiday in Monterey. There’s nothing like recharging the batteries in what sounds like a beautiful Californian setting.

Rodney, ah Seattle is inland, not on the Pacific. Salt water is not an unusual sight for me, but the ocean itself – yes that I do not see from Seattle. You can’t see it from Vancouver, either.

Very beautiful part of the US. My grandfather grew up in Carmel, on the other side of the peninsula.
