Vatican dress code swiftly owned by wise old woman

The Vatican has been cracking down on violators of their dress code. Members of the Swiss Guard have been drawing aside men in shorts and women without sleeves across the entire Vatican City State, not just St. Peter’s Basilica like usual. This would be boring news if it weren’t for the awesome quote at the end:

“Given all the scandals the Church has been involved in, what possible right can it have to be preaching about the morality of sleeveless dresses?” said one woman in her seventies.

Oooooohhhhhhhhh snap!

Just for shits and giggles, here’s a photo of my mom and me in St. Peter’s Square when we visited Italy 10 years ago. I would have been 12 in this photo:
Wait…NO SLEEVES?! I didn’t realize my mother was such an infidel! How did we enter the basilica without bursting into flames?!

Damned 70-year-old-harlots. Corrupting our pure-hearted priests with their scandalously uncovered, pallid, wrinkly flesh!

:) Love it.Ahh I remember going to the Convents in Greece, and being made to wear a wrapawound skirt over my jeans cos pants were NOT COOL… but the girls in the mini skirts were let in just fine.

Ah yes, it’s wonderful to know the Vatican has their priorities straight. Obviously women in tank tops and men in shorts are far more immoral and blasphemous than priests raping little boys. I really like that 70 year old. I think I want to trade my grandmother for her. My grandmother gives me the evil eye when I visit her and wear dress pants to church.

If I think I could stomach being in such a place I would like to go in a sleeveless dress. When the guards come up to me to tell me I’m dress inappropriately I’ll look them up and down and reply, “Really? You think you can run around playing fashion police when you’re wearing THAT??” *Hairtoss* *Snap* Then strut it on out of that piece.

This is so odd. Pagans who have all of Europe to see… end up at St Peter’s.Strange.”Given all the scandals the Church has been involved in, what possible right can it have to be preaching about the morality of sleeveless dresses?” said one woman in her seventies.”That’s just like a woman though. They can never let anything go.The actual homosexual perps never repented. But the Church, left with the fall-out… is making the necessary amends… but there the senility set is ready to drag us back through the mire. Again. And the actual offending fags revel that the obtuse free-basing liberal media hacks continue to hunt down anyone, but the direct offenders.Given that present and previous American administrations have a well known track record of actively pursuing and evangelizing African women to have abortions… (in true cloak and dagger, and atheistic style) to entice and ensure those higher amounts of American aid, do you really think you should be criticizing anybody? Especially another country’s government?? Murder still trumps abuse. And no amount of unscience can dispel the reality of that action.Think about it. Or not.Pot. Kettle. Black. You. Remember “infidel” is a laughable, impotent, Muslim quip.Jesus accurately labelled your crowd, type, long ago. And because it’s Jesus, the past becomes the present. You’re pagans. And, of course, happily… it’s not just a label, it’s a judgment!

In ’05 my wife, son, & I toured northern Italy. After being told for about the 15th time about the dress code for entering churches, I said “To hell with it. I’m wearing my shorts & t-shirts. I just won’t go into any more churches.” I was much more interested in seeing things like Galileo’s telescopes, anyway.
