So March 4th came and went and Trump was not inaugurated. What a disappointment for his cult followers. Jimmy Kimmel comments on the non-event.
So now what? As with most cults, they will select a new date for the grand resurrection of the Trump presidency. Currently it is March 20th but there is no shortage of potential dates that can be looked forward to in the wake of the inevitable failure to materialize. What I think will happen is that with each such disappointment, some people will peel away, realizing that they it was all a mirage, leaving a very small cadre of hardcore believers, like those who think that Trump actually is president and that he is currently wearing a Joe Biden face mask.
Meanwhile, a Trump administration official has been arrested for involvement in insurrection. Federico Klein is alleged to have taken part in the riot and attacked a police officer with a riot shield.
He is the first member of the Trump administration to be implicated in the storming of the Capitol by supporters of the former president in an attempt to overturn the results of the November presidential election that was disputed by Trump.
The newspaper reported that 42-year-old Klein had worked on Trump’s 2016 campaign and began working at the State Department shortly after Trump’s victory. The violence left five dead.
A former colleague told the Politico news site that Klein had worked with the office of Brazilian and Southern Cone Affairs before being transferred to the office that handles Freedom of Information Act requests.
The Trump appointee was seen in videos of the riot assaulting officers with a stolen riot shield, federal investigators said in court documents obtained by the Times.
I would not be surprised if more turn up.

… those who think that Trump actually is president and that he is currently wearing a Joe Biden face mask.
And a corset that makes him look like he lost 80 pounds?
It must have been such a relief to take that off for 90 minutes at CPAC!

If Trump believes he won the election in 2020 and is therefore still president how can he say that he is running again in 2024? He knows a president can only have two terms of office, so by saying he’ll stand in 2024 he is effectively admitting his defeat in 2020.
By the way Joe, leave those Neanderthals alone, they were far smarter than Republican governors.
