In this video below from a congressional hearing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in just a few minutes, demonstrates how the political system in the US has been structured in such a way as to enable, even encourage, corruption. It shows clearly why the oligarchy is freaking out over her because she seems to have an instinctive knack for succinctly and clearly demonstrating in a very short time with few words how fundamentally flawed the current system is.

I have never been a member of the mafia but they probably have stricter ethical guidelines than the US Congress.
There must be a lot of members of the House and Senate who wish that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was just a bad dream.
I think it will make a bit of noise for a little while and then nothing will happen. Too many people on both sides of the aisle are benefiting for anything other than cosmetic to be voted on and passed. And the majority of the electorate just doesn’t care.
That makes me laugh when I hear US politicians taking about the shining beacon on the hill and bringing democracy to other parts of the world and other platitudes. The US is such a bad example even without including Trump. Trump is just the cherry on top…
