I have been on a Rowan Atkinson kick recently and I couldn’t resist linking to this sketch from the 1980s BBC comedy show Not the Nine O’Clock News that may be where Donald Trump got the ideas for his campaign. The similarities are uncanny.
From the genius of David Walliams and Matt Lucas a sketch from their comedy show Little Britain, where a ‘straight’ politician tries to explain his toilet cubicle imbroglio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FafVtHWn4X8. Given Donald Trump’s proclivity to proclaim that everything about himself is brilliant, better and bigger, I’m sure his would be the widest stance on such rest-room rumbunctiousness.

The “I like curry” bit was tremendous foreshadowing for Trump’s taco tweets.
Does Rowan Atkinson have access to Obama’s time machine?
chigau (違う) says
or
is Rowan time-traveling just to yank that cosmic chain?
Jenora Feuer says
No, he has access to da Vinci’s time machine. See Blackadder: Back & Forth.
Mano Singham says
Don’t forget that he begins by saying that he is a golfer, another similarity with Trump.

Now if he’d only said he wanted to rebuild Hadrian’s wall to keep those damned Scots out…

In The Netherlands something similar happened.
