I voted a few days ago. I was surprised there weren’t any MAGAt intimidators or federal goons hanging about. But then I realized that our polling place is our public library so they probably didn’t know how to find it.
Voted early, myself. Didn’t see much of note around the poling place. Fingers crossed for a blue Texas, but I’m not making any bets. I’ve been here before.

I do hope that with this effort, the disruption against global mathematics that unfortunately appears to emanate from your country will diminish.
Unfortunately, just as you published your article about the bike accident, my own bicycle was vandalised and the brakes broke apart while I was driving. Luckily, I was not hurt. Perhaps someone took issue with me reading your website.
Since I have to expect more practical jokes of that ilk, I’d kindly ask you to forego the topic of lethal bicycle accidents in the near future.

I voted he first day of early voting in my state. I live in the reddest county in New Jersey. There are several people I have to associate with who would raise the planets IQ if they died. Life can suck here. Fortunately, I have a few close friends and coworkers who are open minded and they keep me from totally losing my sanity.

I early voted at the courthouse yesterday, because there was no line. And I’m not going to check the news until Wednesday morning. Watching the Tuesday evening results coverage only stresses me out and doesn’t affect the outcome in the slightest.

Voted by mail a week or so ago and CA BallotTrax assures me it was received and counted. Accuweather told me a couple days ago that it would be sunny and pleasant all day today, but it’s raining as I type this, so I’m glad I don’t have to go vote in person. Also glad it’s raining, though I hope it doesn’t keep anyone from voting.

I’m curious if you voted in all the judicial races. Like you, I had a ballot where all the judges were incumbents with no opponents, so I skipped them all.

Wow.
I forgot that choosing judges by popular vote is a thing in much of the USA.
Seems really weird from an Aussie perspective.
Here in Oz, judges are treated like highly elite civil servants or medical specialists, and selected based on their legal qualifications, peer reputation, and experience, rather than political appeal.
(I can only imagine how electing doctors or surgeons or plumbers or electricians would work)

BTW, here in Oz judges must retire by age 70, precluding the emergence of a US-style gerontocracy.

It isn’t a thing. Judges are appointed to their seats, but do have to stand for election regularly. They generally run unopposed, but occasionally one makes some terrible rulings, other judges run against them, and judges who make bad rulings gets unelected by the public.

I voted last week, and am so glad I did. MN managed to pass 1 million early voters as of Monday. It’s nice to have expanded voting options so I don’t have to deal with waiting in line or crowds. Today’s weather is decidedly cool and soggy.
That shows 3,927,036 registered voters. Not eligible, registered.
The math is easy, no? ;)

@John
And? What does the number of registered voters have to do with MN smashing records for early voting? The 1 million figure includes absentee ballots, mail in, and in person early votes. That’s really close to 2024 presidential election numbers and blew last midterm out of the water. We tend to be #1 in voter turnout nationwide at about 80%. I suspect having two MN citizens murdered in the street by trumps ice goons is highly motivating. Winter is nearly here for maga and its leaders.
