Yes, you are! President Trump (or more perhaps more accurately, Stephen Miller) has issued an Executive Memorandum on National Security for Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence. It names all the activities/ideas that they claim lead to domestic terrorism.
There are common recurrent motivations and indicia uniting this pattern of violent and terroristic activities under the umbrella of self-described “anti-fascism.” These movements portray foundational American principles (e.g., support for law enforcement and border control) as “fascist” to justify and encourage acts of violent revolution. This “anti-fascist” lie has become the organizing rallying cry used by domestic terrorists to wage a violent assault against democratic institutions, constitutional rights, and fundamental American liberties. Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality. As described in the Order of September 22, 2025 (Designating Antifa as a Domestic Terrorist Organization), the groups and entities that perpetuate this extremism have created a movement that embraces and elevates violence to achieve policy outcomes, including justifying additional assassinations. For example, Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin engraved the bullets used in the murder with so-called “anti-fascist” rhetoric.
Here’s a convenient list of beliefs that will make you a suspicious person whose arrest is justified before they commit any crime. It’s vague and unenforceable, except by a Kafkaesque bureaucracy that doesn’t care about evidence or rational justification. I went through the list and checked off all the ones that apply to me — or at least, could be twisted to label me.
✓ anti-Americanism,
✓ anti-capitalism,
✓ anti-Christianity,
• support for the overthrow of the United States Government,
? extremism on migration,
? extremism on race,
? extremism on gender
✓ hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family,
✓ hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on religion, and
✓ hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on morality.
(I put a question mark by the “extremism” items, because it’s so vague that it could apply to anyone — I think claiming there are only two sexes is extremist, for instance.)
The only one that doesn’t apply is “support for the overthrow of the United States Government” but, you know, at the rate things are going that could change.
Check yourself! Who else will be joining me in an internment camp? See you all in some sweltering tropical swamp surrounded by barbed wire in the near future!
Famously, Trump is opposed to the overthrow of the US government.
:-/
Nevermind. I’m assured by a couple of regulars on this blog – neither American – that Trump is not the result of Americans voting for Trump; but the result of Americans not voting for Trump but also being overenthusiastic in opposing genocide.
Um… somehow.
Note that these “extremism[s]” are being measured against the admin’s de facto Nazi positions on all of those things. Fucking Reagan was “extrem[e] on migration” relative to these fascists, for instance. The nonexistent gods forfend anyone stake out an actual leftist position on any of them.
I’d say mass deportation, anti-woke erasure of black history, and attacking trans people are extremist positions. And a little something that happened on Jan 6th 2021.
I suppose atheism will soon be criminalized. I notice targeting atheists Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs, or Hindus seem to not count as extremism. That’s telling.
I suppose the time honored tradition of posting Zombie Jesus memes on Easter will be outlawed and sufficient for disappearance DINA style.
That list is so vague that it could apply to anybody.
It could especially apply to Donald Trump, Stephen Miller, and the right wingnuts currently running the government.
Anti-Americanism. That is the current GOP, Trump, and Stephen Miller.
They obviously hate the USA and are in the process of destroying it.
Extremism on migration
Extremism on race
Extremism on gender
These are the positions of the racists and misogynists of the GOP and Trump.
They could arrest themselves today based on this Executive Order.
If you try to understand this document, it doesn’t make sense.
To take one example:
hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family,.
How do you tell and quantitate hostility towards those who hold “traditional American views on family”?
What are those traditional values anyway? Our views on families are all different and have changed a lot over the centuries.
And what about those who hold “hostility to Enlightened Views On Family”. Those enlightened benign people who are kind to children and animals surely also deserve protection from…the right wingnuts of the GOP.
Finally, Trump didn’t write this.
He isn’t capable of writing much of anything coherent any more.
@2
To be fair, like a lot of shit involving Trump, finding the actual “evidence” is problematic, there is at least one group that has done detailed statistical analysis on the votes and found that the distribution of them, based on “normal voting patterns”, suggest something odd took place, some of which looks a damn lot like the same sort of results you get in, say.. places known to have rigged elections. While they can’t discount the, sadly insane reality, of some idiots voting Trump, because they convinced themselves he would end wars (yeah, right…), and where real pissed with Biden, the distribution implies, at least so far, that at some “threshold” level of votes, the numbers suddenly, and inexplicably, drift from the neat, “This is normal voting”, to, “Wait… why are all the votes suddenly going to one person in way larger amounts?”
Basically, if they are correct, it would require that, say, everyone voting normally for the first, say, half of the day, voted totally normally, or something like that, and then, somehow, towards the end of the day, more and more people voted Trump, including almost all mail in ballots, which where likely counted last, or something.
Its not clear evidence of ballot stuffing, or something snuck into the bits that “where” connected to outside systems, but… All that is clear though is that a) it doesn’t appear to be normal, b) it underwent a very strange shift late into the election, not from the very start, implying a possible “threshold” at which it was triggered, and c) the result looks a bloody lot like what you would get if you where stuffing ballots, like done in “fake” democracies around the world, but you waited until some percentage of the votes where validly collected, before pulling the trigger on stuffing those ballots.
All of which, sadly, doesn’t mean that it was not a bunch of people deciding, almost last minute, to either not bother showing up to vote for Harris, or actually being stupid enough to vote for Trump, out of some sort of misplaced spite.
But, heh, if we ever, at this point, get semi-sane people back into the government, maybe it will turn out to be true, and we can all have a collective sigh of relief that we didn’t really vote the idiot in, that we saved the country anyway, after letting him successfully rig the election, we can do some simplistic crap to “try to stop it next time”, then mostly ignore it ever happened, like “good Americans”. But, definitely not, being good Americans, actually listen to other countries, and what they do/have done to stop this kind of crap from taking place in the first place.
I was feeling down about all this and then the Youtube algorithm swoops in and serves me this…the final song (~2:53) is the eternal anthem:
PE gave me what I want and what I need. That they did this on Kimmel is a HUGE middle finger.
@2. Silentbob :
Oh fer fucks sake! Nope. That’s a total misreading of what people including me say here say which even you should have been able to grok by now – Trump is the result of people voting for Trump – including indirectly via Stein & other third party spoilers as beholder notoriously admitted to doing as well as people like beholder & you attacking and undermining rather than unifying behind and supporting the ONLY alternative to Trump i.e. Kamala Harris plus non-voters encouraged by Bothsiderist and Only-a-Unicorn-will do bullshit. Which as Trump’s actions and policies and words and deeds are proving so far absolutely are bullshit.
On the actual topic here – I’m very glad I’m an Aussie so none of this stuff applies personally directly to me but also very worried given the massive USA influence over my nation and its culture and politics which means this sort of shit is spreading and a concern globally as well as you know actually caring about those in the States who I like and want to see do and live well and safely and be happy.
Elon Musk’s Wikipedia Competitor Is Going to Be a Disaster
Does anyone remember Conservapedia? This is going to be even more so; like Fascopedia.
Trump also targeted US citizens living in US cities by threatening to send in the US army to do something. Since he is senile, it isn’t clear if he even knew what those military forces are supposed to do.
So, he is going to send the US military into our cities to use them as training grounds.
Training for what?
The invasion of Greenland? Attacking small boats in the southern Caribbean? Invading Canada?
None of these atrocities requires training in cities.
I suspect he means training the US military in how to terrorize and kill American citizens because it looks good on TV and helps them establish their dictatorship.
Trump: ““We’re under invasion from within. No different than a foreign enemy”…
This makes no sense.
Who is invading us from within anyway? That is impossible. If we live here by definition we aren’t invaders, we are citizens.
Trump is senile, he is babbling and this makes no sense.
What is clear is that the GOP and Trump seriously, deeply want to massacre a lot of Americans in public on TV. They want to see lots of blood and dead bodies in the streets.
Killing people shows their power, the ultimate power of life or death over people.
It is also an intimidation tactic.
That’s what we said in Vietnam and Iraq. Perhaps someone should remind Trump and Hegseth how those conflicts turned out.
Like many noted the list is vague. The traditional values of anything can be applied by adapting the definition as needed. This would allow them to change the values based on circumstance or intent,
✓ hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on morality.
This one is so ironic it hurts my brain.
“traditional American views”? Your country isn’t even three centuries old – how can it have traditions already?
@8 StevoR
Technically, voting 3rd party is equivalent to not voting. Not equivalnt to voting for one of the two.
re Hemidactylus @7: I have, of course, heard of Public Enemy. But I am not familiar with their music. That medley is definitely on-point with our situation right now. I don’t know when they composed it, but I presume it was way before our present situation arose. Pretty prescient.
I’m sure the memo sounded better in the original German,
anti-Americanism, – Nope, I root for the USA during the Olympics.
anti-capitalism, – Nope, I’m for well regulated capitalism.
anti-Christianity, – Nope, I’m anti-religion, but not really anti. You do you, leave me out of it.
