    I’m not a web designer, more of a backend guy, but I actually quite like finding bugs.

    It’s looking all day for the damn things and not finding anything is what annoys me!

    @2 — If by “finding bugs” you mean sleuthing out the code that is causing a known defect, then yes I find that fun — except when it frustratingly eludes my most heroic efforts.

    It can also be fun to devise tests that will find errors that nobody knew about, and sure, a high hit rate in that effort can be a great source of satisfaction — for a time, at least! One hopes that, by release time, the software will be good enough to go “all day… not finding anything.” That’s a happy day, if you’ve done a good job on the tests.

    I can ‘t say it’s ever fun to discover a previously unknown bug in your own released software. Maybe if it’s a competitor’s.
