    Transcurrent faults: Major strike-slip faults that are generally confined to thin-skinned crustal deformation.

    That sounds a lot like rightwingnut reaction to Trans people appearing.

    Very tenuously related, but anytime someone describes themselves as “aromatic” it gets me thinking of benzene rings and pi bonds. I see the geochemists also think along the same lines.
