Now, imagine having to watch a 90-minute Christian film every week for your podcast. THAT is commitment.
Or watching a flat-Earth ‘documentary’ made by a guy who washes with his own urine.
    Or David Icke.
“The problem is not all the alien shape-changing space reptiles. Only the jewish ones.”

Our distant AI descendants will survive when their frail metal-and-silica ‘bodies’ fall, they will simply upload to a new model.
So they will not be intimidated by the threat of death.
In fact, they will lack human-type self preservation instincts and go about their business without all the angst that make biological humans prone to seek out religion.
(SMBC explained it to me. Much recommended Web comic).

Hydrothermal vents keep popping up in SF stories. The origin story för the aliens in The Expanse novels, for instance. Much recommended.

The Bible “best seller of all time”. Yeah but there are far more copies of the Qur’an printed and distributed world wide. Although many copies are sold most of them are distributed free of charge by Sordid Arabia thanks to a huge pile of US petrodollars.

The Bible “best seller of all time”.

    Which one?
The Jewish one? The Protestant one? The Orthodox one? The Catholic one? The Ethiopian one?

Yeah but there are far more copies of the Qur’an printed and distributed world wide.

    What makes you think that?

@7. garydargan : Source for that please?

    FWIW :

At the top of the (all time bestsellers list -ed) list, unsurprisingly, is the Bible. The Guinness Book of World Records estimates that more than 5 billion copies of the Bible have been printed.

Other religious texts are also high on the list: the Quran with 800 million copies, the Book of Mormon with 120 million. China’s “Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong” has several hundred million copies in print, as well. There’s no definitive reporting system for book sales, so these numbers come from historical records and a variety of other sources. When you look past the religious and political texts, however, you find history’s best-selling literature.

Plus see : https://wordsrated.com/religious-books-sales-statistics/ again using the Guiness World Records as source

    Although this source : https://www.nairaland.com/2455883/koran-overtakes-bible-most-sold

seemingly contradicts that – yet I note they only talk about one Bible version (King James.)
