I feel the little blue birds’ pain

Shortly, I have to take off on my regular biweekly foraging trip — it’s a couple hours of traveling that the pandemic adds to my load.

It’s probably a good thing today, though, because doomscrolling through news of the shambles the USA has become is not doing me any good.

I’ve gotta do a run soon too. Been procrastinating, being off this week. My drive is short since most everyone is wearing masks at the local Publix, even Florida Man.

Seems much scarier now with the holiday surge. Gotta remember more 7UP for my nightly vanilla comfort floats. Be safe!

I to have to make grocery run, probably tomorrow morning. Mask use is pretty good, which helps.

Here it is state law to wear masks in all open stores, so at least that is not a problem with grocery shopping.
Hopefully Biden will be able to make that national. I wish Trump could be removed before he starts a war with Iran or does some other insane murderous thing. Have a decent grocery run and think only of spiders.

I keep getting “Server not found” with that site. This has been happening for quite a while and I used to never have a problem accessing it. Do any tech-heads amongst you know why that might be? hank you in advance for any advice.

Never mind, the issue resolved itself and I can see the comic. There’s a little icon of a padlock with a diagonal red bar through it at the very beginning of the URL. As opposed to this site where it is an icon of a padlock with an orange/yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside it. It’s all arcana to me.

@Samuel Vimes, sounds like your browser or OS doesn’t trust the certificate authority. Try updating the OS and browser, as some time back a handful of certificate authorities had to replace compromised root certificates.

@PZ, imagine my shock when, just having completed my shopping, I learned of the insurrection, which essentially began just as I left the house.
Heard the flurry of news alerts, but when working on a task, maybe, just maybe the building going ablaze will make me stop and see what else is going on. Although, given the recent cold snap, I’d probably continue shopping and enjoy temperatures more to my liking… *

*For the record, it’s been hovering around freezing here.
