Back in 2016, DJT ranted and raved about voter fraud and even though he won, and even though he was the POTUS of four years he never presented ANY evidence. With all the resources of the most powerful office in the world, he couldn’t find a single solitary fraudulent ballot.

I’m not saying voter fraud is nonexistent. Several people are caught every year attempting it. I’m saying DJT did not utilize any of his vast powers to find it. If millions of ballots are fraudulent, then it should be easy to prove it. Especially with the paper trail left by all those mail in ballots. The burden of proof is on the accuser in chief.

Can’t see the John Oliver video in Canada, but here are some comments from Sansa Stark (Game of Thrones).

    Warning: Graphic violence.

    Link.

    The North remembers.

I am shocked, shocked I tell you that you didn’t mention what happened during John’s celebratory 30 seconds at 18:49!

I don’t want to forget this. I understand being so exhausted as to want to get as far away as possible, but I don’t want to forget the past few years. I don’t want to forget the conditions that got us here – how both major parties cumulatively fucked over the entire nation to where a Trump presidency was possible, probable, and happened – and I don’t want to forget what this country allowed to happen or celebrated happening in its name under Trump’s occupation.

    @ Rob Grigjanis #2,

    Yep, what she said.

BTW, if you don’t mind just getting the sound, with a wonky image, I’ve found you can usually see LWT shows in Canada on Dailymotion.

I just took a screenshot of WTOP (DC’s primary news/traffic station), as for the first time in more than 4 years, Trump’s name is not on the front page. Anywhere. Biden has a side headline over a matter of the transition team and…that’s it.

The news was, for the first time in a great many years, “normal”. Nothing that had anybody needing to go “oh god now what”.

    And that was incredibly refreshing.

  7. acroyear says

oh, the rest of the show, the “And now, this.” part, was just a montage of reporters and pundits on TV all talking about the “dump” of votes over and over. :D

I only ever want to see Trump mentioned again in sentences containing “extradition” or
    ” Leavenworth”.

  9. says

    @ birgerjohansson #8:

“Trump” and “extradition” are horrifying words to put together. Being broke and powerless, the only currency post-presidency Trump will have is state secrets, and they’re sold as soon as he steps foot overseas.

Also, “Trump” is more likely to be paired with “Sing Sing” than “Leavenworth,” and Trump / Sing Sing makes a fine and uplifting pairing in a sentence. Allow yourself to enjoy that pairing if it happens.

#2: Feeding Trump to his hounds would be wonderfully appropriate, except that he was always too self-centered to keep any pets.

Maybe we could starve Melania for a week, give her a knife, and put her in a quiet locked room with her husband bound and tied?

  11. davidc1 says

@10 Melania is too busy trying to find a good divorce lawyer .
There are some great photos of his supporters sobbing their poor little hearts out
when they realise he has lost .I am dreading hearing on the news that some RWNJ has gone on a shooting spree .

I’m honestly surprised there hasn’t been instances of violence. Then again trump all he needs to do is say the word.

  13. kome says

    @12
I think they’re still in the denial phase of this. A fair number of right-wing politicos and personalities on- and offline are still trying to push some narrative that Trump can somehow finagle a win out of this, whether through the Supreme Court or whatever. I suspect once the outcome of this election really sets in we might see a wave of actual political violence. Whereas right now it seems that we’re only seeing threats of and calls for political violence, such as by a police chief in Arkansas (link: https://www.kiro7.com/news/trending/arkansas-police-chief-resigns-after-urging-post-election-violence-via-social-media/XGKJVKXQWBELRDR4QC7Y6C7T2U/)

    “Octopi on extacy”

“Octopi” is not the plural form of octopus. Octopus is a Greek name, not a Latin name, so the plural is either Octopodes or Octopuses. I’ll let others handle “extacy”.
