Need to visit my doctor more often

I’m back from my doctor’s visit! It was nothing but good news. The outside walls of the clinic are covered with swarms of chironomid midges!

Everywhere I looked, there they were, clinging to the brickwork. This is one big buffet for spiders that I’ll have to check again later, but I didn’t see many today — just one lone jumping spider hanging about. There has to be more.

Oh, yeah, I’m also fine.

You don’t need to visit your doctor, you clearly just need to visit the exterior of his office.

I once finished up in a hospital bed with a huge allergic response to bites from swarms of midges in Cape York. So beware PZ, send the spider troop in first. Oh, and well done on all clear. Always a relief, even for young fellows like you.

A very good picture! Now what were you doing at the doctors with a fancy camera?

Kenneth Tobey fought a giant chironomid in The Monster Midges (1953).

I like my doctor and told him so I also told him I was content to see him only once a year.
one of the cool things I see when I take the long walk from the new far back parking lot (VA hospital) to the office where my doctor works is the wild nature I see once in a while like the coyote I saw in broad daylight walking through.

Due to evolutionary competition, the spiders are currently slightly late.
    Dammit.

I’d be surprised if this wasn’t mentioned here before, but I just saw it myself and I found it wonderful.

    Vanessa should bite David.
