Aww, I started to tear up a little

Here’s a nice video summary of the Reason Rally. I am so happy to have been there.

P.S. Some of the UMM students make a brief appearance. So do I, but in the only blurry photo in the whole piece — it must not be just my aging eyes, I actually am getting fuzzy around the edges!

The Thinking Atheist has a great voice and his videos are some of the most well produced on Youtube. He’s got real talent.

Anyone know where I can get me one of those “Worship me or I’ll torture you forever” shirts?

I don’t know the answer to the shirt question, but I just wanted to say that I thought The Thinking Atheist did a fantastic job capturing the spirit of the Reason Rally.

It’s the hat, PZ. The hat makes the camera think of Rick Perry, and then it can’t help but get fuzzy.

So. Much. Fun. Lets do this again! That was a great video, very well produced.
Only trouble watching was every time his camera started to point where I was standing I began to cringe. I can’t stand the way I look on video, so anytime I saw a camera pointed my way I ducked behind who or whatever was closest. Looks like I dodged him!

That was quite an intelligent-looking, good-looking and diverse crowd. I wish I could have been there.

Very well done. As if I wasn’t kicking myself enough already.

So, y’all are doing this again next year, right? Right? Please say Yes.

Also, how the fuck could anyone look at those crowd shots and say there was only a thousand or so people there?

Looks amazing, I’m even more jealous than before.

So, how does one find out about these things far enough in advance to save money and make plans? Especially smaller conferences – I never seem to find out about the ones I could actually make it to until it’s too late.

I’m reminded about how inspired I was during Jessica Ahlquist’s speech and how pumped up I was to hear Paul Provenza say the words “Folks, Professor Richard Dawkins.” There was also the giddy joy of hopping like a fool while Tim Minchin chanted “jump for Jesus.” I’m proud to have been there, and I will never forget it. I hope to see some of the wonderful people I met at Reason Rally 2 some day.

I wish I could have been there. Hopefully they’ll repeat these. and, if one of you should happen to inherit a million or three, perhaps you could buy ad time on the networks in the weeks before the event. short PSA style ads, at 6.12 PM locally. Oh, and call pRick Santorum a religious zealot . . . that’d get the media’s attention. They love the shit outa Santorum.

I was so glad to be a part of it, too. The video does a really nice job of capturing the energy.

It was really meaningful for my 8-year-old daughter. It was the first time she had ever encountered a group of people who, as she says, “don’t think gods are real.” She even gave up sight seeing the next day (her idea, not mine) to go to the AAtheist Convention- and she was THRILLED to hear PZ talk and to meet PZ. She took extensive video of PZ’s presentation, and many, many photos. It was clearly of great importance to her, and it made me happy to see her connect with the commonalities of the crowd.

    Thank you, PZ.
