EDIT: Wow, I really need to figure out how to make the left column of my blog bigger so big photos and videos don’t completely engulf everything. Sigh.
I used to have the same problem with the indents. I just switched themes and the problem was fixed. I'm sure that there is some way to change the width without changing themes but I'm not brave enough to dig through the HTML.

I'd recommend just setting the width of any videos/pictures you imbed to no greater than 400px, much easier than modifying your style sheets (All though it can be done, will take a bit of CSS knowledge.
You can always enclose pictures in an anchor tag to link to the full size one and a direct link to the video under the embedded one.
