   Well, this guy certainly took the raping bit to heart:

   Pastor claimed his penis had been anointed with the “Holy Spirit divine semen” and raped his faithful

   If they can make you believe absurdities, they can commit atrocities on you.

   A. 1. Deterrence of the offender & others.
   2. Reformation or rehabilitation of the offender.
   3. Incapacitation of the offender where appropriate.
   4. To indicate societal disapproval of the offender’s actions.

   Q. What do unethical people consider to be the principal purposes of punishment?

   A. 1. Revenge, as in “an eye for an eye”.
   2. Taking pleasure from seeing the offender suffer.

   Q. How does this fit with the Christer’s concept of eternal punishment in Hell?

   A. 1. Deterrence isn’t applicable because the offender is never released.
   2. Reformation or rehabilitation isn’t applicable because the offender is never released.
   3. Incapacitation isn’t applicable because the offender is dead.
   4. Indication of societal disapproval isn’t applicable because the offender’s punishment isn’t witnessed.

   This leaves revenge & taking pleasure from seeing the offender suffer. Which ain’t exactly what one would expect from an omniscient, omnipotent, benevolent, & just supreme being. But just about what one would expect from a megalomaniacal, Bronze Age, war lord.

   Hold on there! It was totally believable until he mentioned the printers. There were no printers in biblical times! This video was faked! It was probably two guys with a green screen and their friend off screen.

    Well, here’s another example of how the character of religion can poison things. From the “Wretched radio” youtube site, a young woman is saying that she’s glad that god did not cure her cancer.

    Of course, comments are disabled.

    I don’t know what to say to that.
