Another great one from Mr. Dalton. “It’s more than fair, it’s laissez-faire.” Must resist the temptation to steal that one.

Yup, Ayn Rand was an atheist. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

The end reminds me of Douglas Adams’ “So Long, and Thanks for All The Fish”:

“Because if they didn’t vote for a lizard,” said Ford, “the wrong lizard might get in. Got any gin?”

No comment on the inaccurate Obama plug at the end PZ?

I don’t think they were subliminal by the way that stuff doesn’t work without being set up before hand. For the laughs I think.

    @ #2:

The stopped clock is only by happenstance right twice a day, but since the clock is stopped, you don’t know when those two moments roll around. A stopped clock is useful perhaps as a door stop or a paper weight, but little else.

Amy Rohren is great! We all love Lucy, “am I right?”

The bit after the end of the skit is pretty good – and topical.

Did I hear that right? You have a different vote day depending on who your vote will be for? What the hell is the purpose of that?

    Holms:

He’s trying to get the Rethugs to vote on Wednesday, after the election is over. This is a reference to something some people actually did: they called folks they figured would vote Democrat, and ‘helped’ them by giving an incorrect voting date.

Thanks for that I’ve never seen let me google that for you before that’s pretty awesome, but still the result confirmed what I said. Those messages weren’t ‘below an individuals threshold for conscious perception’, as we all saw them.

“Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.”

That’s… brilliant. I must remember to use that :)

bradleybetts, the saying fails when one refers to digital clocks.

    (Still — nice snark, there)
