On July 30, I was driving my daughter from Boston to New Hampshire to attend a wedding when we noticed a long convoy going in the opposite direction. The convoy consisted of large vehicles, trucks and SUVs and the like, all flying American and Confederate and ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ flags, never a good sign because it signaled that they were hyper-patriots and likely white supremacists and xenophobes.
We gave them a wide berth and that was a good idea because just today I learned what that convoy was all about. They were all Trump supporters going to a rally tpo presumably ‘Make America Great Again’ and their conversation on citizen band radios (people still use citizen band radios?) provides an ugly window into their sentiments.
You can listen but be warned that the language is awful. Or you can read some of the comments in the above link.
What Trump has done is help normalize these kinds of sentiments.

No surprises. Sounds like the high school I attended.
I did notice a couple of vehicles with POW/MIA flags. I thought Trump didn’t like soldiers, sailors, airmen or marines who were captured?

I wonder how many of them are cops.

Why do these kinds of asshats always drive the same vehicles?

Another indicator of hyperpatriotism is that they all seem to value the biggest / loudest vehicles possible.

@3-So sane people can recognise them at a distance and take avoiding action?
