As regular readers of this blog know, I am a huge fan of Orly Taitz, that devoted seeker of truth who has made it her life’s work to expose the fact that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the US because he was born in Kenya and his father was not a US citizen. The former is disputed but Orly says that that is not necessary since the latter fact alone is sufficient to make him ineligible to be president. Constitutional lawyers dispute this but whom are you going to trust as a better judge of the constitution, some smarty-pants scholars or someone who is a triple threat, not merely a lawyer but also a dentist and a real estate agent?
Despite her best efforts, however, Obama managed to dupe people into re-electing him and I was getting a bit worried that time would run out and he would leave office without her having achieved her goal having him arrested or impeached. What would she do then? How would she fill her empty life?
But not to worry! Texas senator Ted Cruz is thinking of running for president. Clearly, after four months in the US senate he is bored (who wouldn’t be in a place where nothing is done?) and setting his sights on higher things. But it turns out that not only was his father not an American citizen at the time of his birth (he was a Cuban immigrant) but that Cruz himself was born in Canada! And he admits it! So if Obama is ineligible, clearly so is Cruz.
The fact that Cruz has gone out of his way to make himself the darling of the Tea Party movement may be a wee bit of a problem, since much of Orly’s fan base consists of people in that movement. But I believe in Orly, that she is a genuine seeker of truth, justice, and the American way and that she will not be swayed by partisan allegiances but that Cruz’s candidacy will give her a new focus in life and that she will go after him with the same dogged determination that she showed with Obama.
And for her sake (and mine), I am glad.
Jon Stewart of The Daily Show also looks at the potential Cruz candidacy.

I suspect that she’ll even show you different dentist chairs at a number of locations while then allowing you to sue her for shoddy dentistry but only if you use her as the lawyer to bring the case.
