    In the UK we are slowly but surely being dragged into the paedophile protection excursion.

    US Airbase usage has gone from “no permission” to “defensive operations only” to “offensive operations to open the Strait of Hormuz”.

    I’m not happy with Starmer over this, but it is at least better than the total sycophancy of the Conservatives and Reform (which was initially unqualified support for operation Epstein Fury).

    I will be writing to my MP over this.

    Yeah, the other nations it seems thought that bribing Trump and Jared would be a cheap way to win the Sunni-Shia war…not working out so well for them…because it seems Iran is well aware now that was the intent, and is now striking Saudi Arabia directly.

    MONS, Belgium – NATO Mission Iraq has adjusted its posture, safely relocating all its personnel from the Middle East to Europe.

    “I would like to thank the Republic of Iraq and all the Allies who assisted in the safe relocation of NATO personnel from Iraq,” said General Alexus Grynkewich, Supreme Allied Commander Europe. “I would also like to thank the dedicated men and women of NATO Mission Iraq, who continued their mission throughout this period. They are true professionals.”

    The last NATO Mission Iraq personnel departed the country on March 20.

    NATO Mission Iraq will continue from Joint Force Command Naples. NMI is a non-combat advisory and capability-building mission to assist Iraq in building more sustainable, transparent, inclusive and effective security institutions and forces, so that they themselves are able to stabilise their country, fight terrorism, and prevent the return of ISIS/Daesh.

    The iranians can decentralise the manufacture of their smaller munitions, making it impossible to destroy all the production facilities.
    Larger missiles and drones can be launched at stand-off distance from the Strait of Hormuz, aka the killbox where the oil tankers have to go.
    .
    The idea of physically occupying the northern shore of the Strait of Hormuz for shorter or longer times is to bring idiocy to a higher level. The USMC alone cannot do it, you would have to bring in the US army. And keep a wide buffer zone, in the hope of intercepting 100% of missiles and drones coming from the north.
    99% would not suffice, one single destroyed oil tanker means insurance refuse to cover the tankers.
    At that point no tanker will cross the strait, invasion or not.

    Plus his attempts to destroy Israeli Democracy (such as it is) and reduce the power of the Israeli court system acquiring more power to the PM i.e. himself :

    Underlying this is strong opposition to the kind of government currently in office – the most right-wing in Israel’s history – and to Mr Netanyahu himself.

    Critics say the reforms will shield Mr Netanyahu, who is currently on trial for alleged corruption (he denies the charges), and help the government pass laws without any brakes.

    The government argues that the judiciary interferes too much with legislation, is biased in support of liberal issues, and is undemocratic in the way judges are selected.

    That are, o’course now pretty much forgotten. It absolutely stinks that this seems to have worked so well.

    Oh – & after October 7th (2023) Netanyahu’s govt was in serious trouble over the fact that Oct 7th happened on their watch and the IDF’s response to it was so bad – but, of course, that’s now getting increasingly memory-holed too and there’s supposed to be an election this year, but hey the govt can now say “can we put that off w the war and all” or have it w Netanyahu as the “stable” wartime (vomits) “hero” (spits) so.. yeah.

    Hmm.. Guess you could draw quite a lot of parallels with the cartoon above and a very similar cartoon with what Israelis have been dying for here too given the above.
