A stupid person is in control of the US

I am horrified by this incompetent man who is running the country.

The White House Doctors have just reported that | am in “PERFECT HEALTH,” and that | “ACED” (Meaning, was correct on 100% of the questions asked!), for the third straight time, my Cognitive Examination, something which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take. P.S., | strongly believe that anyone running for President, or Vice President, should be mandatorily forced to take a strong, meaningful, and proven Cognitive Examination. Our great Country cannot be run by “STUPID” or INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!

We should not allow our country to be run by “STUPID” or INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!, which is why Trump should be impeached and his entire administration dismissed, ultimately to be arrested and tried. He is providing the evidence himself: you do not ask people to take a cognitive test unless you suspect there may be a cognitive problem, and asking them to take the test three times suggests that there is a deep problem here.

He is in cognitive decline. He’s also in poor health, to the point that he is tweaking his medication against all medical advice. He’s taking 4 times the recommended daily dose of aspirin.

They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?

I know a little bit about this, with my history of cardiac problems. Initially they had me taking baby aspirin, low dose aspirin, but then the doctors decided, on the basis of evidence, that this wouldn’t help. So guess what I did? I stopped taking it. I didn’t quadruple the dose.

He’s a stupid, ignorant old man.

Yet somehow this man holds unfettered power; he can, basically on a whim, without congressional approval, invade a foreign country and snatch up the elected leader of that country. Venezuela sets an ugly precedent. I guess we couldn’t complain if the EU swept in and scooped up our president (please do, we’ll welcome you with flags and parades).

Worse, he’s declaring that this sudden snatch-and-grab means we’re now in charge, that we “run” Venezuela, and he has admitted that the motive was simple greed, to steal their oil. We tried this in Iraq, at the cost of a million lives and trillions of dollars. Are we supposed to believe that this will work this time?

I need a stronger word than “worse,” because now Stephen Miller is talking about taking over Greenland.

One of President Donald Trump’s closest aides, Stephen Miller, questioned Denmark’s claim on Greenland and suggested the U.S. could seize it without pushback, stoking concern among European allies.

Speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper, Miller sidestepped questions of whether the U.S. will use military force to take Greenland, a territory of Denmark, and said the president has been “clear for months” that the U.S. should have it.

“Nobody’s going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland,” Miller said in the Jan. 5 interview.

We are so fucked. The whole world is fucked.

Relief when the oppressor is gone is a universal sentiment.

That is certainly one of the factors working against the US annexing Greenland. All sociopath rulers think they can do everything, and then they go down spectacularly.

  2. raven says

We tried this in Iraq, at the cost of a million lives and trillions of dollars. Are we supposed to believe that this will work this time?

The war in Iraq was meant to make the world safe for…cheap unleaded gasoline.

    It didn’t work.
We spent over $2 trillion, 5,500 American lives, over 100,000 Iraqi lives, and didn’t get much of anything out of it. Iraq today is closely allied with Iran.

We also tried regime change in Vietnam, Somalia, and Afghanistan. Those didn’t work either and were also very expensive mistakes.

Venezuela is a large country, twice the size of California with 28 million people. If we invade and occupy and they resist, this is going to also end up being yet again another expensive mistake.

We’ve all heard this one before.
George Santayana: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it,”

It seems like they give him a cognitive test every week. I doubt that’s because they believe he’s healthy.

  4. F.O. says

which is why Trump should be impeached

    Impeached by whom?

You already tried this twice. Third time’s the charm?

I really don’t understand this. The system has failed you so spectacularly and yet you still put your hopes in it?

  5. birgerjohansson says

The prime minister of Denmark is now working with other European leaders to drun up oppsition to Trump’s idiocy about annexing Greenland.
    .
In the Joseph Heller novel Our Gang; Tricky And His Friends Tricky Dick invades Denmark to distract from domestic problems.
DJT is not an original thinker. With some modifications, this is another idea he has stolen.

  6. F.O. says

Speaking from the EU, our own leaders are greedy, opportunistic morons who have decided appeasing Hitler a second time is the best approach, since the first time it worked so well.

  7. raven says

Trump was stupid and he is now senile, deep into dementia.

He is a meat puppet and he is being operated by a small number of fascists around him.
The attack on Venezuela was probably Rubio, the son of Cuban immigrants who hates Castro’s Cuba.

In the last few days, Trump has threatened to invade Columbia, Mexico, Cuba, and Greenland.

In the last few weeks, we’ve also threatened and/or bombed Iran, Syria, and Nigeria.

The 4 year old imperialists running the USA are on a roll here.
They will definitely attack someone again and soon.
Probably Iran, and we may attack and invade Cuba.
Cuba is a failing nation 90 miles from the USA. They couldn’t stop us.

  8. raven says

“Nobody’s going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland,” Miller said in the Jan. 5 interview.

    He is probably right here.
Then again, that will be the end of our relationship with Europe and the European Union.

.1. We already have the largest military on Greenland.
There is a US base left over from the Cold War that is run by the USA.

We also have a treaty with Denmark that says the US can do whatever it wants to.
Since we already all but own Greenland, attacking and seizing it doesn’t get us much that we don’t already have.

.2. It will cost us a huge amount though.
The Europeans won’t do much right away.
They will however distance themselves from the USA and go from our allies and friends to our enemies.

.3. If they manage to find some brains, ovaries, and spines, they could just kick the USA out of Europe.
US world military power depends on the USA having large foreign military bases everywhere, especially Europe.
Without bases in places like the UK, Germany, Spain, etc.. we lose a lot of our military advantage.
All those navy ships, tanks, and jet fighters don’t do much if they are stuck in continental North America.

This is the problem that China and Russia have right now. They are trying to extend their military power by setting up bases overseas.

  9. flange says

Trump lies as he breathes. On the cognitive test, Stephen Miller whispered “Banana, table, meadow” into Trump’s ear. And he still got only 2 out of 3.
I took small-dose aspirin long enough to give me a bleeding gastric ulcer. Why is Trump still alive? [Rhetorical]

  10. raven says

Attacking Greenland is definitely going to cause the Europeans to avoid and oppose the USA.

The EU has a larger population than us at 450 million to 346 million. An economy almost as large as the US. Equal technology.
They even have some nuclear weapons, that is the UK and France. So far.

If they wanted to, they could be at least close to equal with the USA. And, the USA is at present really wrecking itself. We are on track to end up as a mediocre state going nowhere.

I’ll bring up one other point.
The US and Trump are systematically driving away all our friends and allies. Canada, Mexico, the EU, Latin America. We are also attacking and invading half a dozen other nations.

At some point soon, the world is going to stop being afraid and start arming themselves in self defense.
The mantra is, No one attacks countries with nuclear weapons. Ask Israel or North Korea how that works.

At some point, a lot of other countries are going to quietly start… building their own nuclear weapons. Just in case the demented dictator of the USA has another bad idea.

  11. Trickster Goddess says

he’s declaring that this sudden snatch-and-grab means we’re now in charge, that we “run” Venezuela

All those historical conquers were going about it wrong and wasting treasure and armies invading countries whereas Trump has discovered this One Weird Trick: all you have to do to conquer a country is to kidnap its leader.

  12. says

I find it fascinating — watching-a-slow-motion-train-wreck fascinating — that the loudest voices advocating essentially unrestrained use of US military force never served (and in at least one instance, dodged the draft with a family history of having done so). So here’s my proposed response:

Each person in the administration who has direct access to any decisional office, and holders of those offices, must complete each of the following within 60 days.
    • He or she must fully participate in a death notification for an active-duty military person; then
    • He or she must write the formal notification letter to all parents and next of kin required by the preceding item, for review by a panel of three senior officers who have also written and sent those letters under their own authority; then
    • He or she must sit for three consecutive days as a nonspeaking observer for hearings on veterans’ disability claims, where at least four claims are considered from veterans who allege specific injuries or conditions from a combat or combat-support role but were not made eligible for the Purple Heart Medal in the same incident(s).

I propose Capt Mark Kelly (USN Ret.) as one of the panel members… and I also propose that the Evil Cat be presented to Stephen Miller for a photo/video opportunity of an archvillain stroking a cat while condescendingly explaining that he’s only doing what is right…

In somewhat related news, the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit smacked down (PDF) the NIH “overhead is limited to 15%, effective tomorrow and retroactive to the beginning of the grants” so-called guidance that it imposed early last year. Although it’s different individuals involved, the process is also fascinating similar to this Administration’s process on use of military force. And that‘s what’s really a train wreck.

#4, THANK YOU…I hate when I keep hearing this!!

Like seriously, laws clearly don’t mean squat. The system doesn’t want to stop him. If anything it’s enabling him. So saying “TALK TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE RIGHT NOW, TIME TO THROW HIM OUT” really is meaningless.

It’s like the old joke, “Who do you call when the Better Business Bureau rips you off? Who do you call when a cop steals from you? What do you do when the judge declares you’re innocent and the cops keep you in jail anyway and the judge ignores it?”

Unless the system has power and desire, you might as well pray to God to remove him. It’s the safe effectiveness. I like PZ’s idea, Trump just set a precedent…can another country just invade ‘Lago and take him away…pleeease?

They’ll just declare that they’re doing a great job, and then drop it and move on.

We need Trump to fall in his bedroom during the night (strong possibility of that). He hits his head which causes a cerebral bleed. That thin blood will be pouring out into his brain because his clotting mechanism is broken. This will create excessive pressure in his cranium. When the pressure reaches a certain point, the body relieves that pressure with a brain stem herniation through the foramen magnum. The dilemma for me is this method is too fast, I would enjoy his suffering, but then again it may be more important to just get rid of him. Hmmm.

  24. stuffin says

@ 24 seversky – Are you saying White House doctors should not be exempt from competence and integrity? Their qualifications for hire (by Trump) were their incompetence and lack of integrity.

Poland and Finland should seriously consider going nuclear, thanks to Putin.

Germany and Poland are already considering building/buying nuclear weapons, since France has maintained its own independent nuclear triad and appears willing to share their knowledge and capacity (such an agreement would let them increase their development budget significantly).

The UK has its own warheads and could quickly (if it hasn’t already in the last year) adapt them for glide bombs and cruise missiles, but the Royal Navy’s Trident D5 SLBMs (the rockets themselves, not the warheads) still rely upon American maintenance facilities because of the shared-pool system. Those SLBMs might be able to be replaced by the French M51 equivalents, as long as their greater 19cm diameter would not be problematic for the UK’s Vanguard submarines (less of a problem for the planned Dreadnought replacement subs, which aren’t due to start being built until 2028).

You can bet that these discussions are already being had between those named governments and militaries, and likely those of several others in Europe, given the chaos induced by Trump over this last year.

Oh & Trump has rigged SCOTUS too removing its ability to act as a real check on his power. Thanks to those who did NOT vote for HRC then Kamala thus giving him not her(s) the power and opportunity to appoint Justices.

You already tried this twice. Third time’s the charm?

When it comes to the more important part of the impeachment which is actually convicting and removing him. Maybe? Hopefully.

I really don’t understand this. The system has failed you so spectacularly and yet you still put your hopes in it?

What alternatives to the “system” are there that we would be better off putting our hopes in? How drastic and realistic are those options and what practical real world impacts would your non-system alternatives have?

Assassination was tried and failed a few times already. General uprising and revolt that could likely lead to Civil War – if what’s going on doesn’t already almost count as that? How many deaths would that lead to? How much destruction and suffering?

Did the USoA come closer to that or further away when Kirk was shot dead – thankfully if predictably by an apparent even worse groyper nazi. Are the reichwing – at least many of them – itching for a chance to cause massive bloodshed and live out their violent, sadistic, murderous fantasies of attacking their perceived enemies and literal neighbours and fellow citizens? Seems like.

BTW. Please note this blog is a public forum and not a wise place for advocating or inciting courses of action that could quite probly lead to criminal prosecution. At least be smart in thinking of the consequences of what you say & where folks.

Oh and of the consequences of actions incl words in general e.g. the consequences of people NOT sufficiently uniting behind and supporting but rather undermining Kamala and even Biden previously thereby helping enable Trump’s tyranny now.

  34. StevoR says

FWIW I suggest peaceful non-violent but huge and loud and powerful protests as in the No-Kings, Occupy , BLM, Civil Rights movements, economic boycotts and social shunning of Trump companies and supporters – including the indirect ones. raising awareness, working to empower and use and influence the Democratic party – join, participate, fund, play a role in that party becoz right now you only have the two actual choices. Don’t like your candidates as they are? Run yourself or support one you do believe inside the Democratic party becoz political reality is political reality. Unicorn candidates and spoilers are those – & only help the Repugs.

Do NOT use violence becoz it backfires and escalates and is unethical. (I really need to say this? Guess I do?) Its what the other side is keen to use and their territory so oppose it through other rational, legal means.

Oh and working to reform your political system so you have preferential voting and can THEN afterwards vote for other parties without chopping off your nose and gouging out your eyes and whacking your forehead repeatedly on a brick wall and then viciously head-butting innocent people all around the rest of the world to spite your face becoz that’s the current impact of voting for 3rd party spoilers. As demonstrated by last few elections esp 2016, 2000 and 2024.

Just in case you thought you weren’t going to have nightmares tonight.

Trump just announced that the USA is extorting 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela. It will be brought to the USA and the revenues will be personally overseen by Trump.

    Politico:

In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump said that the interim president of Venezuela will “be turning over” between 30 and 50 million barrels of sanctioned oil, and that the oil would be sold at market prices, with the revenue overseen by him as president to ensure it benefits both Venezuela and the US.

“It will be taken by storage ships, and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He added that he directed Energy Secretary Chris Wright to carry out the plan “immediately.”

There is so much wrong with this that it is hard to know where to start.

.1. Trump didn’t write this post.
    It is way too coherent.

.2. This is pure theft. And corruption.
Probably Trump will take a cut of the money from selling this oil.
Trump is operating the USA like a gangster.

.3. There is no evidence that Venezuela has even heard of this much less agreed to it. Trump has dementia and lives in a delusional fantasy world.

.4. There is no appeasing the GOP and Trump. It just encourages them to take and take more.

.5. Venezuela is going to have to fight the USA or die.

If MeidasTouch news is in any respect right in their reporting, and yeah, they do have a tendency to play a game of, “This thing that happened will end him!”, in terms of video titles (but, its youtube, so pushing flashing, stupid, not necessary accurate, titles is what gets clicks), which annoys the hell out of me, even if their reporting in general seems to be way better than the rest of media, who are scared to death of Trump and will sane wash everything for him… But, anyway, based on their perspective, he is not only losing his base fast (approval rating tanking, even if way too many idiots, who suck the teats of his own fake news feeds, and don’t trust anything else, so never watch any of it), and even the GOP in congress have been giving serious side eye to a lot of his recent antics, with at least some jumping ship. Heck, like 90% of the DOJ lawyers have quite on him, leaving him with incompetent idiots as all that is left, and they are getting laughed at by every judge they end up in front of, other than SCOTUS, who, still, manage to “occasionally”, if not often enough, rule against some of his worst stupidities.

The problem is a) when will the true tipping point be, in which the GOP in congress actually decide that impeachment is needed (I think a lot of them are just hoping he dies, so they don’t have to, and they can keep a lot of his policy after), and b) will they be willing to go for it if in includes the declaration that he committed treason. Because, that last bit is the key. Without a declaration of treasonous actions, we don’t throw out Vance with him, along with all his senior staff, and most of his appointed idiots. Only a declaration of “impeachment for treason”, has the legal requirement that, “All high ranking members of the government, who worked for the impeached president, must be removed with him.” Anything less than that, he is thrown out, but we are stuck with every idiot that appointed him, every lunatic that helped him get into office, AND everyone that we rightly suspect might have been taking advantage of his infirmities to push him to some of his more insane ideas, and/or funnel Russian propaganda and messages to him, to let Putin puppet his actions.

The doctors might have been doing a pretty good job here. You know how they sometimes talk little kids into cooperating by telling them a nicer story about what’s happening that isn’t “I’m about to jab you with a needle”? Well to get little Donny to go along with the cognitive tests they seem to have sold him on it being more of an intelligence test. It’s probably not their fault that he’s such a scared, mean little shit that all he could think to do with this information is use it to brag and sneer at others.

Now, whether they did useful, competent things with the results is an entirely different story.

And yet Ukraine invaded Russia and occupied some of its territory for over a year.

    Doesn’t negate what I said.

Ukraine occupied a small part of Russia during their war where Russia occupies a huge chunk of Ukraine.
Russia wasn’t in any danger of being overrun by Ukraine.
And, if they used nukes to drive out the Ukraine army, they would be nuking their own territory.

Iran also sent some missiles into Israel a few months ago, during the time of their last conflict.
Israel was in no danger of disappearing after those missile strikes either.

The whole point which you missed is that nukes so far will only be used as a last resort when a nation is in danger of being conquered and literally removed from the map.

The Netherlands already has nukes, sort of.
They’re american nukes, controlled by american personnel, on a dutch air force base.
Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Turkey have simillar arrangements.

That is interesting but isn’t going to do the Europeans any good if the USA turns on them.
Which is exactly what we are doing right now.

Depending on the USA for anything isn’t going to work any more.
The Europeans really need to make their own nuclear weapons.
It’s not just Russia and China they have to worry about. Add the USA to the list.

For those nations hosting American nukes, I’m getting worried that they’ll need to seize those nukes to prevent them from being launched. I don’t like being a citizen of a rogue nuclear state.

At least some European officials have found some ovaries and spines.

EU officials warn the US: If you take Greenland, we will take all US bases in Europe.

.1. They don’t like being threatened by the USA.
I don’t blame them. Who does like being threatened by heavily armed 4 year old toddlers?

.2. They are going to make a trade.
We get Greenland, we lose all our military bases in Europe.
There are a lot of these bases and they are very important to us.

The U.S. maintains a significant military footprint in Europe with over 40 permanent bases and numerous other sites, concentrated in countries like Germany, Italy, Poland, and the UK, housing tens of thousands of troops for NATO’s European Command (EUCOM) and supporting rotational deployments, though exact numbers vary slightly by reporting source. Key hubs include Ramstein in Germany for the Air Force and Army garrisons in Bavaria and Rheinland-Pfalz, alongside facilities in the UK, Italy, and newer sites in Eastern Europe.

The number of US bases in Europe is 40.

.3. As I mentioned above, without those forward bases our huge military is mostly useless. What good is it to have a large navy, thousands of tanks and artillery, and millions of soldiers if they are all stuck in the USA?
What are they going to do, invade California?
(They might. Trump wants to use the US military against US citizens because nothing shows how much power you have like slaughtering US citizens using our own army.)

.4. After we get kicked out of Europe, we are limited to invading our neighbors. We could take over Mexico.
    Then what?
    Mexico has 131 million people.
Trump, the GOP, and MAGA hate Latinos in general and Mexicans in particular.
If we take over Mexico, we add…131 million Latinos to the US population.

That just makes their imaginary white genocide go faster.
The GOP never thinks these things through.

ICE just murdered a woman in Minneapolis. They told her to drive away, and shot her when she did so. I guess they want to see how many Minnesotans are also gun owners with excellent aim.

ICE just murdered a woman in Minneapolis. They told her to drive away, and shot her when she did so.

I just read this on the news.

Apparently, they had no reason to shoot her. She wasn’t running away or anything.
    Cold blooded murder.

    It is appalling.

  51. Tethys says

Preliminary reports are that the woman was an American citizen, though that really doesn’t change the fact that murdering unarmed people is always criminal.

That woman they shot 5 times at point blank range in Chicago also wasn’t doing anything wrong. It is amazing that she even survived.

They never charged her with anything.

Federal prosecutors have dropped all charges against Marimar Martinez, a woman who was shot multiple times by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood in October 2025. The charges were dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot be refiled.

ICE/BP is just shooting and killing people because they have guns and they can.
