I looked out my windows last night and saw this big bright green Scudderia hanging out on the glass door. Man, I am itching to get out and do some field studies, but it’s not happening for a while.
You can study these from your bed at night with the window open. The tempo of their chirping varies with temperature. Hot night: jjj-jjj-jjj, cool night: jjjj—jjjj—jjjj. At least I think it’s these guys.

Apparently I currently have some crows/jackdaws on a suicide prevention watch by shitting on my windows. Fly, aim, shoot, turn away, it’s actually a pretty impressive manoeuvre.
Great camouflage for grass and vegetation – not so good for glass!
Excellent photo.Looks like it has quite hairy legs.
