That PR coup went perfectly

Meanwhile, out on the sunny Mediterranean, a small ship carrying a token amount of humanitarian aid and Greta Thunberg sailed to Gaza, protesting the Israeli blockade of Palestine. Israel has seized the ship and arrested all on board for the crime of attempting to deliver food to starving people.

This is exactly what they wanted, you know. A small ship, an unarmed crew, a negligible amount of supplies…the only way they could make a difference is if Israel drew attention to them with this kind of excessive military action. Thunberg is smiling because she successfully provoked the action they wanted.

Arrested for trying to give a loaf of bread to starving people, that sends a strong message. Israel really wants that beachfront property. It will take them decades to kill all the occupants and bulldoze the place to the ground. Next up the West Bank.

Meanwhile in the USA the President has deployed troops to kill its own citizens. I guess we aren’t much different.

Did you notice what Katz said before this? That the blockade was now Essential for “Israel” national security. Their talking point has evolved from “nobody is starving in Gaza” to ” Ok, yes, they’re starving, but we need them that way to use food as bargaining chip/weapon of war”. You know, the War Crime. Zionists are fucking disgusting. Oh and all this is enabled by the US first and foremost and most European countries (looking at you Germany). Only the Irish and Spain are taking concrete steps to at least stop sending weaponry. I don’t think Western reputation will recover from this.

Today is a good day to block Israel apologists on Bluesky.
I do hope very much that Greta and the other people on this voyage don’t do an Epstein while the cameras in their torture prison mysteriously fail. This regime is capable of any depravity, and almost completely protected from scrutiny by Western nations.

One of my friends shared the greatest headline regarding this: Conservatives who are afraid of pronouns mock 22 year old activist for sailing into warzone.

It’s lucky for Israel that, since its 1862 publication, the story of Les Misérables and other stories of bread for poor people have never gotten any sympathy from the public.

Many news outlets are proclaiming this as a point of international law:

NOTE: they were in international waters on an unarmed sailboat!
I hope those from the Madleen remain safe. However, I cannot think that israel is decent because of the genocidal, fascist actions of israel, such as:

@Stuffin #1: They’re already actively chewing on the West Bank, all the worst atrocities there since the genocide started, open statements about annexation and ethnic cleansing with legislation to facilitate it.

You know, I think Thunberg and the others should have referred to their mission as a “sting” operation.

Like what that shyster James O’Keefe did years ago: he released a video that seemed to show the community organizing group ACORN promoting illegal activity. Of course, the video was heavily edited as investigations later found out, but the negative publicity lasted long enough to make ACORN disband in March 2010.
Now, if only we could get some of Thunberg’s comrades to film “sting operation” videos without all that cherry-picking….
Personally, my suggestion would be for topless women to protest right in front of Republican male lawmakers. That would make the Republican men embarrass themselves on live TV as they attempted to grope or sexually harass the protestors.
(Remember almost a decade ago, when male New Hampshire state lawmakers made crude comments, like “Your nipple would be the last one I would want to see,” to a female legislator after she opposed their female-only nipple ban?)
