I got a mention in the latest issue of the college newspaper, the University Register. Only in the April Fools’ issue, unfortunately, and they misspelled my name, of course.
Not mentioned is that PZ Meyers only manages to skim the paper 5 days after it was published.
Or that the spiders only read at a first grade level, so far.
Interesting that they mention both you, and the North Star, but not the Incident.
I suppose spider-brains synthesize a continuous image with their 8 eyes, so reading wouldn’t be confusing.
I laughed so much… Thanks for sharing this!
Can eight eyed erudite speedy spiders speed read sparsely spaced new arachnid news & if so which specific species?
(Tongue-twister challenge.)
I like to pick up my campus paper since they started including a crossword puzzle.
I am going to go out on a limb and suggest they misspelled your name on purpose. :)
Total fake news! Two spiders read that paper and one is currently reading at the second grade level, which places it at a level higher than the administration staff.
If your spiders only read at a first grade level, you need to start feeding them second-graders.
The spelling has a simple explanation. PZ is liberal, so they think he must be Jewish.
And why is Death not accompanied by Death Of Rats?*
“SQUEAK!”
Ordinary Death: “ARE YOU GOING TO FEED MANY MORE FLIES TO THE SPIDERS? I HAVE A BUSY SHELDUE DURING EASTER.”
I love the implication that the other spiders have better things to do with their time.
