A woman can’t possibly decide to get an abortion on her own! She must have a doctor who decides for her, and a small troop civil servants and bureaucrats crowded into the clinic to vote on the procedure. The authorities must be involved in every step of a pregnancy!

But involving anyone else? Unless you’re the father you have no say whatsoever, and even THEN you literally only have a say but far from the final vote. Political opinion is irrelevant. Religious opinion is irrelevant. They won’t be dealing with the pregnancy/kid/dead cell tissues so they have no say in the matter.

I remember when I was a young conservative and I recall the “response” to that argument: “No! Criminalizing abortion is an example of LIMITED government, because the so-called “right” to an abortion doesn’t exist! Government’s can’t create rights, only GOD can! The government aiding and abetting the murder of a child, a violation of their constitutionally protected RIGHT TO LIFE, is government intrusion and therefore BIG government!”
