Jordan Peterson announced a while back that he was leaving Twitter for good. Strangely, he was back to posting frantically only a few hours after that.
You’d think a psychologist would be able to recognize an addiction when he sees one.
Anyway, now Twitter has suspended his account. Over this:
I’ve had people try to tell me that Peterson is not transphobic –he’s just highly principled and dedicated to the ideals of free speech. That tweet was just hate and disgust and contempt for others. So much for admirable principles.
He’s been off Twitter for a couple of days. His daughter is begging Elon Musk to help him. He might be able to console himself with his new ticket to the right-wing gravy train.
Peterson, who joined the staff of conservative podcast outlet Daily Wire on Thursday, is infamous for his anti-trans stance. He once claimed on Joe Rogan’s podcast that being transgender is a result of a “contagion” and similar to “satanic ritual abuse.”
Remember when people could tell the difference between pride (dignity, self-respect) and pride (arrogance, hubris)? Me, neither.
I’m sure he’d be welcome on “Truth” “Social”…

The man is an entire shithouse of a human.
The “trans debate” is (to an outsider) very frustrating (oh poor me…). Trans people are PEOPLE. It’s right there in the title. However, rights, access, laws etc are worked out, trans people are still PEOPLE. And as such deserving of all the same damned things (adjusted for the relevant bits trans people specifically need, i.e. as a cis man, I don’t have much use for a gynaecologist, my cis wife, on the other hand, does. Same principle applies.) every other person has. Trans people are fully people, fully human. It’s the lowest possible intellectual hurdle to get over. And yet it seems to “confuse” transphobes completely.
Of course, as with all rampaging bigots, I don’t think it “confuses” them at all. I think the dehumanisation of trans people is the absolute bread and butter idea that underpins transphobia. Feature, not bug, sadly. Jordy does like him some hierarchy of humans doesn’t he? All the people he doesn’t like get shuffled down the hierarchy. Convenient. As, of course, is the post-hoc rationalisation of the hatred necessary to arrange said hierarchy.
Trans people, you deserve so much better than to be continually assaulted with this horseshit day in, day out.

BTW, Ivy is a superb communicator.
I was scrolling through YouTube Shorts and one of this dipshidiot’s anti-trans videos popped up. I have never marked anything for hate speech and spam so fast in my life. Also made sure to hit “Do Not Recommend” for that channel.

Elon seems to have gone missing from Twitter himself now. Not suspended, but hasn’t twiddled since June 21, ten days ago.

Transgender is not contagious. Coming out is. Peterson and his ilk want to continue living in a society that punishes for people for being open about any non-hetero identity.

Looks like I overestimated Peterson’s self-discipline. I knew he’d be unable to stay off Twitter, but I didn’t think he’d cave that fast.

It must be weird to be a weak stupid inconsistent and undisciplined person and yet have people listen to what you say. Most weak stupid inconsistent and undisciplined people have their weakness stupidity inconsistency and lack of discipline keeping people from taking them seriously. I mean I’ve tried analyzing and refuting his opinions but it’s just maddening as he doesn’t seem to have any idea what he believes. I think everyone is over-estimating his intelligence as we just can’t imaging anyone that vapid having any notable presence.
