I bought a facemask with this phrase on ETSY. They have numerous items listed under “fuck trump.”

“Pendejo” literally means “pubic hair,” but it’s used pretty much like asshole in English. Just FYI. Chinga tu MAGA is a pun on Chinga tu mama. In Spanish you can use adjectives as nouns, as in this case meaning “the orange one,” but that’s awkward in English. So you can’t really capture the full flavor of this in translation.

Also off topic (a bit). I just came across this article https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/01/white-supremacist-protest-activism-emily-gorcenski?utm_source=pocket-newtab-global-en-GB

It’s amazing really. Seventy six years since a bunch of American losers crawled up the beaches to help liberate Europe and this woman has had to relocate from the USA to Berlin to feel safe from the Nazis.

What a disgusting and vile human being the orange one is.

I was reading a Guardian article about the polls a bit ago focused on the “swing states”. It’s disheartening to be reminded that eight states…Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Iowa…with less than a quarter of the population of the US and less than a quarter of the votes in the Electoral College will decide who wins.

In the comment thread with the tweet, someone wondered about the “upside down pentacles” and someone else noted them as the stars from the US flag. However, it occurs to me that since they are point-up on the flag, the person who made the sign may be referencing a nautical usage. To wit, flying your flag upside down is a distress signal.

May or may not be the case, depending on knowledge on the part of the graphic designer, but if it’s deliberate, it’s a nice (if very subtle) touch.

I sent the link to my daughter. She says that there is a sign along her way to work that reads…
