I was just thinking I’m surprised that the republicans haven’t latched onto COVID as an excuse for shutting down the educational system entirely. Let any charities or whatever that want to run (unregulated, natch) schools. That way rich kids could get a good education, church schools could push religion, and minorities and underprivileged could skip school and get straight to backbreaking labor. It seems obvious.
