I’m back! We drove home from Colorado today, and now I’m all worn out.
You know, the grandparenting thing is great because you don’t have all the responsibilities of a parent, but the bad part is that it breaks your heart to leave, and Mom & Dad won’t let you smuggle the baby home in your luggage.
Awww, what a joy to see one of your beautiful grandchildren. I wish I could see some of mine.
I’m glad that your travels were safe and that you have Mary home with you now.
That is a great picture. Also, I love that stuffed owl.
Well, if they did let you smuggle the kids out, then you would end up with the responsibilities, so there’s that.
Really glad to hear that you made it home and will no longer be alone.
Well, good.
Did you wash the colour off your beard before you arrived there?
Welcome back PZ, glad you are safe.
Oh that’s just too sweet a picture. I’m glad you’re safe home. There will be times when visiting family is easier and until then you can go back to being a floating head. Also seconding kestrel on the owl.
Wait, the owl is STUFFED?
And I presume the book is on the genetics of spiders?
Iliana has a thing about owls. She has several owl toys and usually walks around carrying one. Or two. Or three.
The book is about dinosaurs.
And owls are dinosaurs. Grand kids, stuffed toys and books. It doesn’t get any better.
Glad you and Mary are safe home! Iliana has good taste :-)
Glad to hear you and Mary are safely back home.

Got lots of photos of my dad with his grand kids ,in one of photo the little darlings have put my mums scarf around his head .LOL.
Best photo you’ve ever posted!
I captioned this picture “making professor defend his thesis.”
@15 Or she might be asking “Pampa why does that other poopyhead ken ham think dinosaurs are only 6,000 years old?”
