This seems to be a recently published story but, as I commented elsewhere, I would swear that I remember reading it somewhere before. The Russian mobster…
I agree with finding it mostly depressing. Damn is the human race (ok, mostly the men of the human race) a shit show. Throw them all into a sack, fire it into the sun, no innocent lives lost.
And, as constant background noise, capitalism, maybe the most reliable of all the humans evils. Not the worst from case to case, but constantly there, always making sure a shitty situation becomes even more horrible.
If by “needing his cable fixed”, one means “needs to be hung like the war criminal he is”, and by “cable” one means “piano wire” then yes, yes, I agree.
Nah, j/k. Not even war criminals deserve the death penalty. Solitary confinement for the rest of his natural life is better than he deserves though.

You can relax. War criminals, at least here in the US, will never be punished. Per a combination of Obama and the publicly-available analysis by the UK’s intelligence service, a certain presidential nominee from the Democratic Party is as guilty of lying the US into a war which destroyed a country in the middle east as anybody in the Bush administration, and the party loyalists have demonstrated a mindless, zombie-like loyalty to them, so neither party will ever make a move in that direction.
If we’re going to punish war criminals, the punishments will have to go to both parties because they’re both guilty, and only the Democrats knowingly ran a guilty person. Deal with it.

…while the other party knowingly ran a candidate who bragged repeatedly about all the war crimes (and other assorted crimes against humanity) he’d commit if we’d just give him a chance. He’s done his damnedest to live up to his words, too, with the fawning adoration and support of his party. Thank the gods he’s such a blithering incompetent hairball. Let’s not forget that he’s also a godsdamned rapist, thief, and con artist, all of which the Republicans were well aware of. They almost certainly knew he’s a traitor too, but whatever.
What I’m trying to say is: Jesus Fucking Christ in a crackerjack box, the horse is dead. Quit beatin’ on it and get a pogo stick or something.

It seems to me an episode of House might have used the Russian basement scenario. My memory is hazy, but I’m fairly certain I’ve seen it used in a TV show or movie.
If you know the show, I’m thinking 13 went to this house looking for clues and needed to see the basement. I could be wrong.

I did not find that story depressing any more than I find much of service jobs stories depressing, having done my share it is the normal struggle of working people its why she always found working people good calls. working people know how hard the f…..g job can be.
I would suggest that a quick and painless death would be preferable and far less cruel than solitary confinement which is a kind of torture for an animal that is as social as humans are. I would suggest instead work on cancer wards instead and hospice for the rest of their life would be better, starting with menial jobs and advancing if warranted.

That was more depressing than entertaining. The Fox News guy, holy fuck…. I suppose he’s just a typical Trump voter and what not.

He could help clean up Iraq. There’s lots of work to do and it might be instructive to see his handiwork.

Yeah, put that fox back in that henhouse. That should be a great way to help the remaining hens.
