It sounds like Roger Ailes is going to be fired from Fox News. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, but now I’m wondering who is on Rupert Murdoch’s short list of replacements?

Depends on what you define as a scandal. He fathered his first child out of wedlock and (probably) employed the services of prostitutes. Pretty light by Ted Haggard standards.

One possibility might be to promote the Senior VP of News Operations, Sharri Berg. According to her LinkedIn page, she’s be with Fox News for 20 years. She became the SVP of News Ops in 2005. She has a degree in journalism from American University. And she even considers Ailes a mentor.

But I’m more surprised FOX is doing anything about this at all. It’s hard to imagine that they’d be bothered by the odd lawsuit or, hah, the image loss.
As fake as Fox News is, it’s way too close to reality for Alex Jones. He much prefers to remain in his fantasy world, filled with imaginary enemies and monsters under the bed. That way, he can continue to play the hero and martyr completely risk free.
