My vote goes to a vicious darwinian t-rex eating a watchmaker attempting to saddle it. The watchmaker would bear a suspicious resemblance to flava flav.

    …Too much symbolism?

this is a good idea – I’ve always thought the NCSE website needed a major redesign. Why does a leading proponent of science have a website that looks like it was designed by a 7th grader?

I have to take issue with this. A site designed by a 7th grader would look like a MySpace page, with a flashing purple background and a list of quiz results saying that NCSE is most like Luke Skywalker and Elmo.

The NCSE website looks like it was designed before a current 7th grader was born. There’s a vital distinction.

Contests like these are very much frowned upon by the design community, and people who take visual identity seriously would just hire a professional. The term that everything you submit becomes NSCE’s property is atrocious too. They can’t just take away your copyrights because you showed something to them, whatever it says in that page. You would need to explicitly agree to that.
