Well, that’s one hotel to avoid in New York

No, not the Trump hotel, even if that one should be avoided as well. Rather it’s the Arlo Hotel in Soho, where Keyon Harrold and his 14 year son was accosted by a white lady, who couldn’t locate her phone, and assumed Harrold’s son had stolen it. As Harrold makes clear on his Instagram story, this was handled very badly by the Hotel manager, who encouraged her behavior.

This incident should result in the woman getting charged, the hotel manager getting fired, and the Arlo Hotels appologizing and refunding the cost of the stay to Keyon Harrold and his family, at the very least. The Arlo Hotels should also provide proper training to their employees, so this never happens in the future.

That woman strikes me as a dangerous nutter who needed restraining and arresting. Surely by now the Internet has identified her? Bets on her name being Karen?

Entertainingly when I just googled “arlo Hotel soho” Google offered to complete my search with the word “racist”. Given their location they’re probably not going to be able to count on the good old boys demographic to keep them in business.

No apology from Karen once the Uber driver dropped her phone off to her. Not surprised. Karen should have been arrested for disorderly conduct as she was not a guest at the hotel and the manager needs diversity training and suspended a few days with no pay. I hate to say it, but Karen got off easy.

And your evidence that the hotel staff are all white folks is?

Also, your evidence I blamed the victim in any way at any point is?

Oh, no, hang on, what am I saying, that’s right, you missed the point. The point being not one woman’s behaviour – the point being the hotel staff reflexively backing her over their own paying guests.

But no, you carry on “cupcake”. It’s sweet. You remind me of this…
