The horrible suffering inflicted on America’s freedom loving CEOs is a unique burden no good ole boy should ever be forced to endure. It’s inhuman, it’s un-American, and you can understand why many zillionaires are working so hard to kick that soshilist hippie commie black panther capitalism-hating ursuper out of the White House:
(USA Today) — The head of a typical public company made $9.6 million in 2011, according to an analysis by The Associated Press using data from Equilar, an executive pay research firm.That was up more than 6% from the previous year. The figure is also the highest since the AP began tracking executive compensation in 2006.
Companies trimmed cash bonuses but handed out more in stock awards. For shareholder activists who have long criticized CEO pay as exorbitant, that was a victory of sorts.
Obviously, what CEOs must have is a return to the policies and people who destroyed the economy and cut the stock market in half. Get back on track to the downside of that chart heading into 2008, they’ll be raking it in! Oh, and in the meantime we’re not allowed to discuss rival Mitt Romney’s economic job creating claim to fame at Bain because that wouldn’t be fair.

I understand that lies are a part of politics. But the only other time I’ve seen a campaign of blatent lies this comprehensive and broad in a national race is when I read pre WW2, pre depression history books.

Of “my” four CEOs, one worked for Clinton, and one worked for Obama. Neither of the other two has worked for a Republican …

The entire theme of the GOP right now is that Obama hates capitalism, American exceptionalism, all that shit. So yeah, there’s definitely that meme going and it’s been fanned in some business circles for quite a while.

I don’t think Obama hates Capitalism.
I’m not so sure that he agrees with American exceptionalism – “manifest destiny” – or is as patriotic as most Americans though. The USA is an exceptional nation in many ways with much to be proud of.*
Obama seems somewhat lacking in that pride and somewhat too eager to apologise for the US overseas rather than support and defend it internationally, IMHON.
Obama certainly beats the alternative options for President (McCain-Palin /Romney-somebody) by a long way though.

So, corporate CEO’s pay themselves a lot of money.
Ok, destroy capitalism.
Yes, let’s take out Kraft Foods.
-Tyson Foods.
-Norelco.
-Wal-Mart.
-Century-21
-Apple.
-Microsoft
-Boeing.
-Toys-R-Us.
-Babies-r-Us.
-General Motors (still an evil, for-profit corporation though CEO pay is capped by government).
-All other evil corporate entities that feed, clothe, and shelter us and give us jobs which pay us to raise children who hate those corporate entities which feed, clothe, and shelter us.
-Etc, etc, etc.
Let’s all just move into the woods and live in hand-made tents. Just don’t inconvenience the native wildlife with your self-serving existence while you’re there.
In fact, give it all back to the Native Americans and get onto a boat for points elsewhere. They did a much better job of managing it all.
