Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamists Vs Everyone else. Time for a ‘real revolution’.

“Jihad is our path. And death for the sake of Allah is our most lofty aspiration.” -Morsi

“The Koran was and will continue to be our constitution.” -Morsi

“I take an oath before Allah and before you all that regardless of the actual text [of the constitution]… Allah willing, the text will truly reflect [Sharia], as will be agreed upon by the Egyptian people, by the Islamic scholars, and by legal and constitutional experts.” -Morsi

“Egyptian law will be the sharia, then the sharia, and finally, the sharia.”-Morsi

Morsi wants to stay in power forever. As a Muslim Brotherhood man he will bring theocracy someday. It is time for secular and liberal people to start a ‘real revolution’ and prevent Islamists from destroying Egypt. They should now march to Tahrir Square with the aim of “toppling the fascist, despotic constitutional declaration” issued by Morsi on Thursday. Egypt’s sane secularists said, “We are facing a historic moment in which we either complete our revolution or we abandon it to become prey for a group that has put its narrow party interests above the national interest.” Bravo! We are with you. You please complete your revolution.

Call me a cynic, but I find it interesting on the timing of his ‘power grab’. I.E. immediately following his trip to Israel.

It shows the grip religion has over people in the area when they, in a free election, choose a religious group to run “politics”.
And it shows religion’s true values when the elected morphs his religion into “politics”.
As a reminder; there are no sisters in the muslim brotherhood.
Also a reminder, even in USA, politics are heavily infested by religion. Heavily.
So the need for a revolt against religion in politics is global.
But very needed in Egypt right now. I wish them success.
In the meantime the rest of us can join forces wherever we can.

I have no idea what this means except maybe that Morsi wanted to say “Sharia” as many times as he could in one sentence …kinda like obsequious lower rank soldiers who lard every statement to superiors with the word “sir”.

“”Yes Sir, right away Sir, Sir!”

Lovin ‘votre travail.
