If he’s triumphant, why’s he still stag?
I wonder if wearing my skeleton on the outside would work for me…

Critter is even doing the Matrix ‘bring it on’ finger twitch!
I think not my good bug!…
If average size was akin to rather stumpy pony…there would be a certain amount of grief before bedtime!
Not to mention a few rather graphic dreams when actually in bed.
Dodged a howitzer shell in evolution there methinks.

It appears to be some kind of beetle.
(Sorry. That’s what I always say when I see an unfamiliar species of beetle. Then I giggle and pretend I actually said something meaningful.)

THat beetle appears to have one two many pairs of appendages. I thought the rule was three pairs of legs, one pair of antennae. What are the “antlers” at the top, anatomically?

Reminds me of an old science fiction story. The science team builds a device that can pull an object from the distant future. When they retrieve an object, it’s a small statue imbued with “Per ardua ad astra” heroism. The only trouble is…

‘Reminds me of an old science fiction story’
There was another one that involved the resuscitation of an astronaut from a deep bio-stasis cryogenic hibernation pod…
When he opened his eyes a million years after closing them…he saw the shadows of the technicians reviving him on the wall…and he knew for sure which species dominated this future Earth.
