Here in Jersey we have a few more weeks of decent weather. Today I went for a walk at a local park. The park has a trail around it, exactly one mile according to the marks on the trail. I had hernia surgery 3 weeks ago today and this is my first attempt at any real physical activity. While walking around the park I saw the first acorn of the season on the ground. We have several species of scrub oak trees here in the pine barrens and every year I wait for the first acorns to fall. This indicates the squirrels will be frantically running around setting off my front door camera throughout the day.

@ 1. Walter Solomon : It is already starting to look and feel like Summer in my parts too – Adelaide hills, SoutbOz where temperatures are rising and I’m starting to worry about snakes waking up and becoming active and a threat to my fur family especially my dog on walks, dreading the heatwaves and bushfires looming in the coming months. At least its cricket season but that’s basically the only thing I look forward to about it. .
