Another reason that the US is running short of weapons for the Iran war

They are being used to protect Trump while he plays golf.

One photo shows Trump wielding a wedge with an Avenger behind concertina wire in the background. There is another photo of an Avenger, but it is unclear if it is the same one. There are certainly other protection platforms we don’t see, especially electronic warfare systems.

The White House on Monday confirmed the authenticity of the photos to us.

The amount of taxpayer money spent on his golf outings must be astounding.

A fiber-optic cable spun out from a drone will make electronic countermeasures irrelevant. I am more interested in wether stinger missiles can lock on the very faint heat signature of battery-powered drones. Pulse-doppler radar cannot perceive slow-moving objects among the clutter of other echoes.
Protection must be much more challenging today than just a few years ago.

Let me point out that that is a launcher, not a missile. It is the ammunition that we are running out of (because we are using them against Iran), not the ability to launch them.

I’m wondering what weapons like that will do to help (even if they had ammo) when the main problem is that Trump came within a millimeter of being killed by a kid who wasn’t even a sniper and had only some kind of ordinary rifle from Walmart?

Did they tighten up protection against that sort of thing? Surely surrounding Trump with snipers who are ready to fire would be more useful?

I bet that this is something Trump ordered himself, to make him look impressive.
