Evangelical Christians in the US love the Ten Commandments even though they are pretty vague and are far from guaranteeing that you are a good person even if you follow them to the letter.
Also: most Americans don’t realize that what they think are the 10 commandments were actually written by Cecil B. DeMille -- an effete elite hollywood liberal.

Actually, the First Commandment acknowledges there are other gods for other people.
Each tribe had their own, Yahweh was the god of the Israelites, and it was to them that the Commandments applied.
Then there’s the problem of the other 603 commandments…
