When satire is almost exactly what the idiot-in-chief says, it loses its humor. I feel the same way about Jordan Klepper’s “The Opposition”. The republicans and conservatives have become so unhinged that they are almost beyond satire, and it stops being funny. I freely admit that this is a personal opinion, and it goes to the heart of the anger that rises up whenever I hear 45, or frankly almost any republican, speak.

It’s nothing new though. Look at how many conservatives thought Stephen Colbert was one of them during the The Colbert Report years.
My personal favourite was as the height of G***rg**e when there was genuine shock that Colbert would have Anita Sarkeesian on. It was so profound one Gater spun an elaborate story that it was all done in a genius way to put Sarkeesian in her place. I wish I could still find it, it was a thing of ridiculous beauty to behold.
