Whenever people bring up the urban legend about AIDS being some secret CIA program as some kind of nutty left-wing equivalent of nutty right-wing conspiracy theories like Obama’s birth certificate, I point them towards the Tuskegee Experiments as a rebuttal that that’s one conspiracy grounded in a fear of something actually did happen and isn’t quite so far-fetched any more.
