Ukrainian Peace Bracket

Putin and Trump negotiating a Ukrainian peace deal with both Ukraine and Europe excluded, and not even pretending otherwise, gave me a possibly not so bright idea:  the next round of negotiations could be something like semi-finals.

Umm, I don’t really get it. Everyone knows Putin is going to feed Trump his own diaper, and Europe and Ukraine want to get together. The only thing in question is, will Europe learn it’s lesson from Hitler and make sure Putin ends up in a ditch, covered in petrol on fire, or will they pull on their collective cocks until we have to have World War III? We in the USA absolutely will be pulling our puds in the meantime.

Putin and Trump want to share the spoils so not only do they not want anyone else to participate, they want to make sure there is no witness or anyone putting some road blocks on it (the Saudi Prince might get his share for being a good host). Trump has publicly said he wants the natural resources (at least some critical minerals) and that he deserves them and Putin wants the land and resources according to some fantasy view of the Russian empire. I’m not sure how they plan to make that acceptable to Ukraine and the rest of the world (if they even think they need a plan) but that’s their goal and they’re going to try and make it real somehow.

So it’s not some sort multilevel competition bracket as you indicate but rather a one-on-one discussion on how to divide the world. There might even be some discussions about Greenland, Panama and Canada in there because Trump also wants his own Empire.

I was imagining the EU and Ukraine having a meeting to which the U.S. wasn’t invited.  Since it’s now the official U.S. position that my country can’t be relied on to protect Ukraine and that Europe is now on its own, the EU could say, OK, we’ll have a meeting with the Ukraine folks to decide how best to do that.  It might be fun to see Trump explode when there’s an important meeting where nobody is paying any attention to him.

I’m just fantacising here; I don’t think it’ll actually happen.

    Yeah, well.

I remember babushkas making Molotovs, before Ukraine actually got aid.

I finally find myself reflecting on Marcus’s articles about US first strike nuclear capability. What would WWII have played out like, if the nazis had more nukes than everyone else? Holocaust aside, the reason history regards nazis as bad guys because they waged a war of territorial aggression. Putin is doing this, and we’re angling to join forces with him. If Europe wants to resist, if Trump goes all in, we are waging a war of territorial aggression against Europe with nuclear weapons as the big threat.

I dearly hope that if the fuckers order a general to make this happen, said general will remember their oath of office, declare him a clear and present danger to the USA, and put one between his shitty little eyes.

Because they waged a war of territorial aggression and lost. Winners write the history, remember.

one of the reasons north korea is a reasonable approximation of hell – every text that is allowed to exist disagrees with the evidence of your eyes and your lived experience, but if you say anything about, you get fucked. if that’s the “history” we’ll have to read after nuke-bullying the world into eating shit, im fixin to be an unhappy camper.
