What that movie should have been

I didn’t care much for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, so today I made the movie I wanted. It didn’t require hundreds of millions of dollars, either. I bought some new black widows, and today is the day they got moved into brand new shiny containers.

See, Marvel? That’s how it is done.

Having trouble getting them to mate? Try soaking the meal worms in a dry red wine, dim the lights, a little Barry White playing in the background, you know what they say: “The webs always get stickier at closing time.” Anyway, good luck, I’m confident you will be successful.

uh oh…now you are infringing on marvel character IP by having black widows appear in your movie!1!11!!!!!!!

What’s the moss species in the corner do you know? Also where’s it from, your garden or shop or wild or ___? Do you keep it alive and growing or does it dry up and get replaced every so often, PZ?

A man/woman gets bitten by/exposed to radioactive spider/ring/magic lamp/whatever, gaining super powers. He/she decides to use the powers for the benefit of humankind. He/she witnesses murderous dictators, genocides, famine, illegal wars. He/she uses his/her powers to eliminate the causes. End result: humankind benefits. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING IN THESE STUPID SUPERHERO MOVIES, SO STOP MAKING THEM.

Videos… This is off-topic but I want to cheer you up. There is a security video of Trump-endorsed Texas candidate Paxton (the one who was nailed for securities fraud) stealing a 1000 $ pen.

Does this mean you’ll soon be swinging from skyscrapers hanging from a super high tensile strength silken thread and wearing skin-tight-Spandex? Because I don’t think the world is quite ready for that yet.

Perhaps you could äccidentally on purpose” swap this for the Marvel version next Morris theatre film night & see what the audience there thinks? ;-)

^.. Which could double as an impromptu survey of how many locals are arachnophobic too!
