May he die alone, wallowing in shit and the knowledge that the world despises him.
His “birthday parade” brings dishonor to the nation, and tarnishes the history of the army.
On 14 June, go to your local No Kings demonstration. Raise your fists and tell the world that the tyrant must fall, along with his whole corrupt family and administrators. Don’t let them get back up, either!
I don’t care much for the Bible, but Jeremiah 20 seems appropriated.
Cursed be the day I was born!
May the day my mother bore me not be blessed!
Cursed be the man who brought my father the news,
who made him very glad, saying,
“A child is born to you—a son!”
May that man be like the towns
the Lord overthrew without pity.
May he hear wailing in the morning,
a battle cry at noon.
For he did not kill me in the womb,
with my mother as my grave,
her womb enlarged forever.
Why did I ever come out of the womb
to see trouble and sorrow
and to end my days in shame?
Fuck that draft-dodging chickenshit.
Since 2016, I’ve been thinking more along the lines of Yeats’ “The Second Coming”.
Checked, and got one in my own town, so I don’t have to make big travel plans.
And, I hope, soon, we will cheer the day he crawls off and dies.
And all to the tune of $50million. He’s even a failure at cutting wasteful spending in the Federal government.
I’ll confess I had a fantasy about this: imagine the tanks pull up to the viewing platform, stop, point their guns at him and the gang of in-dignitaries he’ll have sitting around him, and open fire. I know it can’t happen as the troops won’t have live ammo with them, but the corollary to “curse the day he was born” is “celebrate the day he dies.” It can’t happen a day too soon.
Is he dead yet?
You see this a lot lately.
No one has to ask who “he” is.
There is one nearby in the usual place.
It is high on my list of Saturday activities.
I’ve been at the capitol building here in Cheyenne for every protest I can attend–I’ve missed two–since February 5. No signs for this one. I thought about it, but I prefer to have my hands free, just in case. I don’t think we’ll have trouble, but one never knows. I’m hoping there will be a lot of people this time. For the last several (including the rally marking D-Day), it’s been the usual crowd of 30 or so, and I know there are a lot more people in agreement with us than that!
I remember being optimistic during the idiot’s first term, that the corruption and incompetence of the MAGAites would decimate the chances of Republicans ever attaining power again, until the less extreme elements regained control of the party. And even though the reasons to dump them all are even more evident during his second term, I am less confident that the Republican voters will change their votes. And I know that even if he dies of a massive McCoronary, his sycophants will declare war against America, claiming his death to be from some element of the “deep state”.
Andy Borowitz reports that tonight Dumpster is going to the Kennedy Center to see “Les Miserables.” Perhaps the cast will use him for a live demonstration of what happened to Louis XVI.
Note: Not sure how old this post is so maybe not literally tonight.
In other news: Brian Wilson died earlier today.
This quote of Jeremiah 20 seems more an antinatalist lamentation than something Trump could bring himself to utter. Trumpists want to force more babies to be born, perhaps in the hope one will be their fetishized antichrist. Or maybe I’m confusing Trumpists with the Woodland Critters from South Park.
I just saw this.
Like most Boomers, I grew up listening to the Beach Boys.
Fun lighthearted music that has held up well.
I’ve seen them twice in recent years and the current band puts on a great show.
Brian Wilson had his struggles and hasn’t been with the band much in a long time.
“Nac Mac Feegle! The Wee Free Men! Nae king! Nae quin! Nae laird! Nae master! We willna’ be fooled again!”
― Terry Pratchett, The Wee Free Men
I do not believe that petitions and protests move the needle. However, this Saturday I will be attending the No Kings protest at the Ocean County Mall in Toms River NJ. I am sensing a movement may be starting to coagulate. More importantly, I’m tired of sitting back and doing nothing.
TY to Bruce Springsteen
Poor man wanna be rich
Rich man wanna be king
And a king ain’t satisfied
‘Til he rules everything
I wanna go out tonight
I wanna find out what I got
If we’re going biblical, I prefer Psalms 109:6

@6 I’ve actually been getting a lot of mileage out of that particular T-shirt at work.
But not as much as “The obituaries are in the back” “Not the one I’m looking for” one.
Strictly speaking, it doesn’t violate the Hatch Act.

I find it kinda cool I guess that the Beach Boys adopted John Stamos:
https://www.avclub.com/beach-boys-sounds-of-summer-tour-john-stamos
I recall him from General Hospital and Full House. When I first started watching Chicago based ER again in reruns I was initially put off that Stamos joined the cast at some point, but he actually made it work.
What is not cool is this obnoxious assertion from another blogger (Coyne):
Of course that scumbag would use the death of a legend to slam the music of younger generations. I would put the early 90s up there with Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Pearl Jam, and 70s emergent Rush rediscovering their earlier mojo. That’s not detracting from 60s music but time did not stop then.
I’m currently listening to the recently dropped Budos Band VII. They started in the mid 2000s. Ignorant me never heard of them until an episode of Chicago based The Bear used “Old Engine Oil”. What an abrupt introduction to that music. Holy hell!
Of course Coyne is perpetually and deliberately clueless on Palestine and now the anti-ICE protests too. And he attracts despicable rightwingers into his comments like flies to shit. Maybe he should have stuck to gluttonous foodie pics and wildlife photos sent by readers and left political and musical commentary to people with more than two brain cells left to rub together.
Weather report says 80% chance of thunderstorms for the parade this Saturday. All day rain event (with perhaps a severe storm) that will put a major damper on Stupid Idiot’s “dream” parade.

Would it too much to ask God for a lightning strike? Preferably a direct hit.
Someone award him a bunch of medals, quick!
Job.3
[1] After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
[2] And Job spake, and said,
[3] Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
[4] Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
[5] Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
[6] As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
[7] Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.
[8] Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.
[9] Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
[10] Because it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
[11] Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?
Ok, I’m pretty sure the US Army has a long and already very tarnished history. Since the big dub dub dos there’s been only a handful of times they behaved with any kind of honour or humanity, with many tarnishing instances of being used as a well-oiled machine to protect… well, oil.. wells, and US hegemony and bomb Asians and muslims/brown people and provide assistance in carrying out genocides.
But yes ofc great to see people organising behind the no kings protest, the fascism levels and the hitler particle counts in the US are off the charts right now, good luck!
